So I was one of the many who pre-ordered the Marvel Cinematic Universe Box-Set and was really bummed when the set got delayed. I recently got an email from Amazon confirming the new release date. But while I was looking at the box set I noticed something peculiar that I've been questioning every since.
So in the original picture as seen above, they have the briefcase open and all the contents strewn about. And the possible easter egg I discovered is on the file folders
The letters
ERMAIN on the folder have been driving me crazy. At first glance I thought it was
ERMAN and I had a mini heart attack because I thought it was Spider-Man. But upon closer inspection it definitely says
ERMAIN.
So here's where I need your help. I have no idea what those letters mean, and it's driving me crazy. The tab on the folder says SURVEILLANCE so I'm thinking that it's a character probably. Especially since on the folder behind it, it clearly says
ROMANOFF and
STARK.
The only thing I can think of is Agent Clay Quartermain. The guy who made a career out of hunting the Hulk. But to my knowledge he hasn't made an onscreen appearance yet in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
So if you guys have any ideas what this could mean, feel free to comment below. I feel like it's something really obvious and I've just missed it because I'm too close to this whole thing now. So if it is really obvious be gentle with me. Comment below.
UPDATE: I found a video showing the contents of the briefcase. It confirms one of my theories as the folders are RECRUITMENT ASSESSMENT files. On top it's says FILED: then SUBJECT:. While in the video (screenshot below) it says Agent Romanoff filed the Bruce Banner file, I'm willing to bet that the actual folder says Agent Quartermain. The only question is why is it different in the video?
