It was recently announced that Vin Diesel was going to be voicing Groot in 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy movie. That wasn't the only news though, Vin Diesel announced that in 2016 he will be staring in a new Marvel movie that will "merge brands". Merge which brands? Could it be between Marvel and Sony to bring The Amazing Spider Man into the MCU? Not likely since this new Marvel movie will star Vin Diesel and not Andrew Garfield. Could it be between Marvel and Fox to merge The Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four? Again, the chances are very slim since both Avengers: Age of Ultron and X-Men: Days of Future Past are having different actors portray the speedster Quicksilver.
The merging of brands would have to be between two different properties Marvel owns the film rights to.

Diesel isn't nerdy enough to play Hank Pym, but maybe he could pull of Scott Lang. The new Marvel movie is to be in theaters sometime 2016, and Ant-Man opens on July 31 2015. Plus, this new movie is supposed to "merge brands", and isn't Ant-Man a core Avenger?

There's a 99.9% chance that Doctor Strange will star in his own Marvel Phase 3 movie. Vin Diesel definitely doesn't have the look for Doctor Stephen Strange.

Black Panther is an African character who rules the nation of Wakanda in Africa. In order for Vin Diesel to have the main role in Black Panther he'd probably have to be black. The only way that Vin Diesel could play T'Challa would be for Marvel to pull a Robert Downey Jr. from the movie Tropic Thunder.

There has been a rumor for some time that Marvel has plans to release an Inhumans movie in the near future. For those of you that don't know, the Inhumans are super powered humans experimented on by the aliens known as the Kree.
There are many signs pointing to why the Inhumans will be an upcoming movie. The Kree as well as many other alien species will be introduced in the upcoming 2014 Guardians of the Galaxy movie, making it easier to explain the Inhumans origins. In Avengers: Age of Ultron, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are rumored to get their powers from being Inhuman. Having an Inhumans movie would be a good way to explore these characters outside of the Avengers. An Inhumans movie could "merge brands" between current Marvel movies and upcoming cosmic movies.
The King of the Inhumans, Black Bolt is blessed and cursed. He can cause mass destruction by using only his voice. He must be careful to never make a sound, for even the slightest whisper could cause untold carnage.
Vin Diesel has the look to play Black Bolt and the popularity that could make a lesser known Marvel property like the Inhumans make a lot of money.
