May Jessica Biel hop on the remake train soon? It appears she is since the actress has suddenly taken a liking to the Sony Pictures "Total Recall" remake. If she signs on, she'll be sharing the screen with Colin Farrell and Bryan Cranston.
As you all are aware by now, "Total Recall" is a remake of the science fiction film made in the early nineties starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. This version, set to be directed by Len Wiseman, centers on a man (Farrell) who believes he is a secret agent and ends up on a Martian colony where he fights to overthrow a ruler controlling the production of the air. No word on who Biel will be playing at the moment. Still, some of the characters and plot have reportedly been pretty seriously reworked. The only character for whom we have concrete info is Bryan Cranston’s role, Vilos Cohaagen, “the leader of Euromerica who, under the cover of protecting his people, is secretly readying an invasion of New Shanghai.”
Total Recall shoots soon in Toronto, the film is already scheduled to open on August 3, 2012.
