THE CLONE WARS Movie Fan Poster Finally Gives STAR WARS Fans What They've Been Waiting For

Lucasfilm has struggled to consistently keep fans happy since being acquired by Disney, but this fan-made poster for The Clone Wars is a prospect we're sure you'll all be able to get on board with...

During Ahsoka's fifth episode, we joined the title character as she travelled to the World Between Worlds. Finally reunited with her old Master, Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano learned that he had one final lesson to impart, resulting in her being sent back to the land of the living with a newfound purpose.

During their reunion, viewers were treated to a live-action take on The Clone WarsAvengers: Infinity War and Barbie star Ariana Greenblatt stepped in to play the young Ahsoka, while Hayden Christensen donned his animated counterpart's classic armour.

Needless to say, fans have since been extremely vocal in making their desire known for a live-action movie or TV series set during that period to be made and, honestly, we think there's potential to deliver a fan-pleasing adventure which finally explores a vital part of Star Wars history in live-action.

Thanks to @benny_productions (via SFFGazette.com), we have a stunning fan poster showing exactly how amazing a movie adapting The Clone Wars could be. All the major players are put front and centre, though Maul's shadow looms large, suggesting he'd also have a role to play.

Unfortunately, a live-action take on the series would likely be very expensive, so we're not going to hold our breath even though we know Christensen and Greenblatt are keen to reunite on screen.

If what we saw in Ahsoka is it, though, then we really can't complain. Dave Filoni got to translate a series he spent years of his life working on into live-action and fans were fortunate enough to see two characters share the screen in a way they could have never imagined before Disney+ launched in 2019.

Take a closer look at this epic poster for The Clone Wars below.

Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

In addition to Rosario Dawson in the title role, the series stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.

Ahsoka was written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa.

All episodes of Ahsoka are now streaming on Disney+.

...yeah, why do we need a live action clone wars again?

What's with America's aversion to animation?

This is why I love Japan. They understand the value of animation and respect it. In fact I'd recommend the Japanese dub of the 2019 lion king over the English voice cast. Japan even cares more about animated movies they didn't make than the people who did make it.

I just need a flashback at any show with Ewan wearing his General Clon suit.

Shit makes no sense to me, if you’re a fan of the clones wars…. You’ve already got the clone wars, and if you want to see what more of the clones wars you can just go watch the clone wars. Why do people have this idea that unless something is made with real life actors in it it’s not legitimate?

@Twenty23Three - the little scene in Ahsoka was cool enough. I'm not opposed to a live action movie set during the Clone Wars that focuses on the clones, or a new Jedi character or something, but I really really really don't need a cgi homunculus Christopher Lee in my life.

@Twenty23Three - exactly. I even did so. Watched the Siege of Mandalore again. Part of what makes it so good is it's animation style.

Think it is fun to see the Clone Wars in live-action though. Just in flashbacks is enough for me though.

I kinda wanted a What If but for Star Wars in the style of Clone Wars S7/The Bad Batch, but now I kinda want it in live-action. They can always use the ever improving de-age tech.

Can already think of a few cool stories, like What If Obi-Wan died instead of Qui-Gon (TPM), Obi-Wan joined Dooku (AotC), Anakin listened to Mace (RotS), Luke got killed along Owen and Beru (ANH), Luke joined Vader (ESB) and Luke convinced Vader to reject the Dark Side (RoTJ).
