Jennifer Connelly's SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Role Has Now Been Revealed - SPOILERS Ahead

It was recently confirmed that Jennifer Connelly would be popping up in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and now we know who she's really playing. It's not exactly a massive reveal, but mild SPOILERS do follow...

We already knew Jennifer Connelly had been cast in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but aside from her character's first name we had no other details on who she was actually playing... until now.

EW has revealed that the Academy Award-winning actress will actually provide the voice for the AI operating system in Tony Stark's souped-up Spidey suit, who Peter dubs Karen in the movie.

As you'll no doubt be aware, Connelly is married to Vision actor Paul Bettany, who was originally the voice of Stark's own Iron Man armor AI, Jarvis. A deliberate meta move by director Jon Watts? Certainly seems that way! “Yes, it’s Jarvis’ wife,” laughed Watts while chatting to EW. “It’s cool, right?”

It is indeed - though I must admit I forgot to even keep an eye out for Connelly in the film, and had no idea she was Karen.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is out in the UK and Ireland now, and hits US theaters on July 7.

Im hoping they have a bigger role (live action) for the actress herself in the future. Would seem like a waste if that was it.

@Highflyer - If she doesn't become Jacosta I don't care.

Why not have her be Jacosta (other than the fact it's a terrible name)?

@fadersdream - Jocasta as a name is taken from Greek myth.

@KaneVonDoom - True, but it's still an awkward name to modern ears. Gilgamesh might be humanity's first hero, but that's a terrible name.

@KaneVonDoom - Yep. I know.
So what you're saying is that in modern comic book films it would go over well with the audience? Especially the Incest aspect.

@fadersdream - Not saying that I don't agree that it's a bit awkward to say the least but... If Ultron created Jocasta as a "lover", what does that make him? Also, taking into account that he templated Jocasta from Wasp due to his attraction to her...

I'm not arguing at all how it would go over with an audience since my reply was in response to just the name. Nothing to do with audience reception.

Jennifer Connelly in The Rocketeer, she was stunning. She still looks great now.
On the other thread I was like, if you haven't seen it watch Safety not Guarenteed, but man if you haven't seen The Rocketeer, go and watch it.
Can we get a Rocketeer sequel???
