This unused Spider-Man: Homecoming concept art from Ryan Meinerding has seemingly been online for a while, but it only came to our attention when we shared the Superior Spider-Man-influenced design a couple of days ago.

As you can see, it looks like the studio was toying with the idea of having Peter Parker's homemade costume more closely resemble the Scarlet Spider outfit used by both Parker and his clone, Ben Reilly, in the comics.

What do you guys think? Would you have preferred if they went with this, or were you happy enough with the final movie design?

Looks really cool but too polished to be his homemade suit. I liked what they used for the film

This would've been better... more polished, but still believable that he could've made it.

And then if they did do a Clones Saga... they could've had Ben find this suit somehow, kept in storage somewhere or somehting. And that would be how he got his own suit.

There are some better ones where the hoodie is red and has the webbing pattern drawn on. Its closer to the original costume but shows how it could be done just with simple cutting and sewing

This was the suit they used in Homecoming, they just reversed the colors.

Ryan Meinderding posted this on his instagram and explained that the mask is directly based off of one he sewed together as a kid. Pretty cool.

I would love to see this, the spray painted logo alone is perfect! but we got something similiar already, so i doubt it

It may be a little too on the nose. I think had they kept the goggles look for the eyes and removed the belt, that design above actually would have been acceptable
