Screen Junkies has released their hilarious "Honest Trailer" for Spider-Man: Homecoming which pokes fun at the MCU's Peter Parker, similarities to previous films and more. It's not for the easily offended!

We've all been waiting for the Honest Trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming and it's finally here! It mostly takes aim at the fact that the Millennial Peter Parker "can’t stay off his phone, constantly blogs, watches himself on YouTube, and has zero patience for anything." That includes quitting the debate team, recklessly destroying public property, and not having to pay for his actions!


The Vulture also comes under fire as does the fact that he had what this trailer calls a "forced personal connection" to the wall-crawler just like the villains from previous instalments of the franchise.

However, by far the biggest target of the YouTube channel's wrath is the complications within the MCU timeline that Spider-Man: Homecoming creates. You have to give them credit for pointing out the fact that Sony made the right choice by letting Marvel Studios do all the work when it comes to rebooting the character. I like it, there's some parts of it that really evoked the comis.

But some stuff annoyed me a little bit, like Peter saying "awesome" every 5min.

@ODanil - That said, spiderman wasnt having playful banter with vulture, and was not pestering the villain with insults, i think thats the best part of spiderman, and even raimi and amazing spiderman films got that right.

@Sauron - iono, in the comics and amazing spiderman films he did it too much so he it made him look like a douchebag.

i know its true to his character but keeping it to a minimum like raimi and mcu did was better.

@Sauron - he can't quip in every single battle otherwise you can't create tension for the fight scenes

@auditore - In the comics he still quips and it has tension, espicaly as the villains break down.

I am not saying every fight scenes, just the normal ones.

@Sauron - i don't like him quipping in every situation when shit gets serious spiderman doesn't quip as much(his fight with kingpin in the prison for example)

Love this movie. 8 years later still bugs me. I mean, Feige's saying "we never said those movies took place in the year they came out" *moustache twirl* yet somehow, as of Age of Ultron and Civil War, those movies are confirmed to have took place in their years of release. So did they suddenly drop that idea or was it really not planned? Because Avengers 1 taking place in 2009 and Age of Ultron in 2015 is a huge shift/distance for it to have been "planned".

I think something happened/got [frick]ed in the last year or 2. Maybe it was the Russos fault with trying to put everything into perspective in Civil War.

Loved this film. And quite honestly, none of the flaws shown in these video are nowhere near being dealbreakers.

Ugh grew up with no internet, a typewriter and a rotary phone, but still lumped in the millennials with the kids born after Blu-ray.
