Ok, this one just ticks me off. Yahoo has a release date of May 6, 2011 for Spider Man 4 posted supposedly starring Toby Maguire and Kirsten Dunst. Either someone forgot to reset the auto-post at Yahoo or some sadistic jerk is torturing us with what could have been if the studio had not screwed up the thrid installment. Still, it makes one wonder just what would it have been like. Post your speculations about who you think the villain for Spidey 4 would have/could have/should have been. Personally, I think Kraven the Hunter would have been a cool story line!

A lot of people have hated when I say this but I personally would've liked to see Mysterio.
I loved him as a kid & he can definitely be made to work & not look camp.
The whole special effects wizard/illusionist turned supervillain-with-tricks-up-his-sleave thing seems interesting to me.

Mysterio could have been interesting. They could have added the whole psychological mind game to Peter's issues dealing with Uncle Ben and MJ but without the whole emo thingk they did in 3.

i'd would of rather seen a spider-man 4,just reboot the cast & crew.

but i'm still looking forward to the reboot.

That's not a hoax. It's outdated info.

May 6th was the date Raimi's Spider-Man 4 was announced for, back before it got cancelled.

Yahoo is probably keeping it for the adjoining message board discussion.

I would have hated a number 4 with a new cast. If they go for a new cast they might as well reboot in my opinion instead of fricking up the continuity.

If a right Spider-Man 4 was made? Would everyone see it? Same cast and a continuation of M.J. and Peter growing-up instead of becoming teenagers again.

I do think the studio overreacted, but Raimi's "Spider-Man 4" was going to be terrible... a blue Vulture droid controlled by Adrian Toomes à la an "Avatar" pod... I could smell James Cameron getting richer by the second...

i would have loved Lizard, Scorpion, Rhino, Kraven, Carnage and/or a redo of Venom. not all of those at once, but any of those would have made me happy lol
