One thing I need to make clear: If Sony doesn't use Spider-Man as a main character in Sinister Six, the untitled female 'Spider-Man' spin-off and the Venom Carnage movie then all hope for Sony would be lost.

SINISTER SIX

Why is Sony throwing a Sinister Six film straight after The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) which wasn't received well with audience? It makes sense to make Sinister Six the sixth film in the franchise. It also gives Sony enough time to develop each villain and not overload each film just to compete with Marvel and DC.
As I mentioned in my previous video: The main negative in the sequel is there are many subplot’s in the film such as Max Dillon not developed enough. The fight scenes ended too quickly. The only way to avoid this is to have fewer villains involved in each movie. Sony you would've had three movies before Sinister Six, subtract the Venom spin-off. You have 2/3 villains left to develop in two movies that means you don’t need to overload the future films with villains, if you do then we would loose our interest in Sinister Six movie when it finally arrives because we would have already got 3 overloaded villain films. Sony so the third film could have Green Goblin and maybe one other. The forth could have maybe Doc Ock and Vulture. Any other development of villains should be done in the Sinister Six film.

UNTITLED FEMALE ‘SPIDER-MAN’ SPIN-OFF

If Sony cannot confidently present a successful 'Spider-Man' movie how will they be able to show people a new character in a stand alone film? I believe it will be Black Cat, since Felicia Hardy is already introduced in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) I don't see any other female 'Spider-Man' fitting in this current universe. I also don't see why Sony need a whole movie based on Black Cat? How would it be vital to the franchise? I think she could've teamed up with Spider-Man in another movie for one fight scene and that's it.

VENOM CARNAGE

This film is placed in 2017 is a very good move from Sony. My problem is the title 'Venom Carnage' At first it sounds cool however as a movie title it doesn't seem right. I would've chosen 'The Amazing Spider-Man: Venom' but hey even that's not creative, if you have any ideas let me know. Other than that I don’t have any hate on this film; I wanted Venom and Carnage to be in the film so I’m happy.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 3

No Sony! It's release date should've stayed in 2016. I believe after you can lock in a trilogy then it's ok to start taking risks like doing spin-offs and other stuff.

Do you agree which what I have stated? Leave your thoughts down below.

If you were wondering what I would've chosen to do instead after ranting about Sony's decisions for 'Spider-Man' then you can check out my other video where I explained a brief story, it's villains and it's timeline for each movie. Check out the video below.

Agreed its not in a good state right now, but I find myself kinda intrigued by Sinister Six and Venom. I would still probably watch both those, same as another TASM movie, even if the last one was terrible. Nice write-up though

Hmmm...nice article. Thumbed.

I agree that delaying TASM3 is a mistake. 4 years between is too long, and having Sinister Six before TASM3 is nonsense.

But, as I thoroughly enjoyed both TASM1 and 2, I av very excited to see where the story goes from here. I want to see the way they intro MJ, how they continue Harry's storyline, and who the full Sinister Six team is comprised of.

I do like the direction Sony has gone with the new series, but they seem to be making some rookie mistakes.

Here's hoping that they are all quality films.

Is Venom Carnage the actual name of the film? If so, that's a terrible name.

I don't give a [frick] about this franchise anymore.... I still care about Spider-Man as a character but Sony isn't interested in making Spider-Man movies, they have no idea what they are doing.

A Sinister Six movie without Spider-Man = SHIT

At this point everybody knows that all the real CBM's are being made at Marvel, DC/WB, and Fox

Sony has dropped the ball

@AlphaAndDecima So that what made an entire franchise doomed? Because of a few changes in an origin?

@AlphaAndDecima In the original comic, doesn't peter don the costume to make money and fame before he became a hero?

@AlphaAndDecima First of all you do know WHY he webbed Gwen. So she would stay away from the danger. she didn't listen and ended up dead. And Uncle Ben's iconic line was delivered but in a different way. Just like the ultimate spider-man comics.

And i don't think it was Stacey's death that made him finally become spider-man but rather the message uncle ben left on peter's phone.

How on earth condescending??? I already know about the conversation but I wouldn't say it changed peter, it rather showed him that he wasn't a hero trying to protect people but rather a man with a vendetta. Gwen's dad never mention anything about responsibility, Uncle Ben did during the argument. So its obvious that Peter got it from him when he insists to Gwen why he has to stop the lizard. Like he says 'Its my responsibility'

'You don't need to start your comments off as if I am not aware of why Spidey did what he did.'
That wasn't even my intention. I was just listing my points.

I know we all have opinions, you think the movie is shit, i thought it was great, we see certain things in the film in a different way. When it comes to the broken promises thing, many people (not saying you are one of them) act like Peter lived happily ever after or whenever Gwen brought up her dad he said 'frick him'. The guy was hallucinating about the guy and like he said 'What kind of person does that make me' I like superheroes being really flawed. I mean so far superheroes don't make really bad decisions or things that people in the world would frown upon. I mean yeah, they save people but when it comes to their personal lives they should be just like us.

In my honest opinion the reason why it may come across as lose is that, unlike the sam raimi movie, peter doesn't become a full blown superhero after uncle ben's death really.

JeremyJahns expresses my thoughts better.

@AlphaAndDecima
The thing is, I personally think it was great that he broke the promise. Hear me out. I feel like it greater feel that Spider-Man killed Gwen. I like the fact that its almost 90% peter's fault. If he didn't break the promise, Gwen wouldn't even be around danger. She would have been on a flight to England to live her life. It was Peter's decision that killed her. Just my opinion.
