Earlier this week rumors have been circulating that Man of Steel 2 will be postponed indefinitely. Reports have stated that DC wants to focus on the “Batfleck” trilogy after BvS and the JL films. I know that this is years down the road but I can’t stop thinking about it. If this is really the move being made by WB and DC it is wrong on so many different levels and I really hope these reports are just rumors. Superman is not only DC’s flagship superhero, but also THE flagship hero of the world. I could totally see this becoming a reality with WB; in their way of thinking that Batman is what the fans and public want and because he sells. I understand completely, but now it feels as if we are being beat over the head with Batman…there is a Gotham TV series, the Nolan trilogy just ended a few years ago, We have gotten three almost near perfect Batman video games and now Batman is already stealing Superman’s thunder after just one movie! Zack Snyder did a fine job in portraying a new relevant Superman, of course the movie wasn’t perfect…but how could this iconic hero be tossed around like this? I am not saying stop producing Batman films, games or TV shows but do the same thing for Superman. If DC puts out a Cyborg stand-alone film but will not make a MoS sequel, we are really in trouble. I am not going to make this a “What should DC do” article, (that will come next) but I want to see what the CBM fans think of this Man of Steel rumor. Sound off!
