E-Online SPECULATION for "Man of Steel"

I got this info from a website. Though none of it is concrete...it is about the only news coming out concerning the Zack Snyder directed Superman reboot. These are minor, potential spoilers of what we could possibly expect to see in Zack Snyder's 'Man of Steel'!



"1. Krypton Will Be the Place to Be: Superman Homepage editor Steve Younis is intrigued by the commitment to General Zod (to be played by Michael Shannon) and the prospect of Faora, two aggrieved types who hail from our hero's home planet. (The Hollywood Reporter says the villainess could actually be Ursa, Sarah Douglas' baddie from the first two movies who was based on Faora, but no difference: Ursa is also from Krypton.) "It leads me to believe that we might see more focus on Superman's Kryptonian heritage," Younis said in an email. "Maybe even an attempt by Zod to make Earth a new Krypton, or at least an attempt to stamp his authority over the planet."

2. Zod Will Kill, Literally: Yes, Terence Stamp was a chilling menace in Superman I and II, but did you see Shannon go off in Revolutionary Road? "Terrence Stamp—[his Zod] never actually killed anyone," Superman Super Site editor Neil Cole told us. "I could actually see Michael Shannon's Zod going to the point of completely annihilating people."

3. Superman Will Be Pretty Much Screwed: Not only could Zod be more brutal, but Faora, Younis said, "has been a far more ruthless Kryptonian villain than Ursa."

4. Lois Lane Will Not Kid Around: In Superman Returns, the then-23-year-old Kate Bosworth played the Daily Planet's ace reporter as a young, single mom. Cole expects Man of Steel's 36-year-old Amy Adams, unveiled as Lois last month, to bring "more seriousness to the role, kind of in the vein that Margot Kidder did [in the Christopher Reeve movies], one that's more established in her career."

5. Ma and Pa Kent Will Be Bigville: "Diane Lane['s casting] and Kevin Costner's casting tells me that the Kents involvement in this film will be important and pivotal to the main story," Younis said."

Again, I don't want anyone bashing me in their comments. I didn't make any of this shit up, this is just some info I got from a website that sort of just took the information we already knew and kind of elaborated on it all to try to create a clearer perspective of just what Snyder MIGHT be aiming for with his Superman film. Again they are just POTENTIAL spoilers, nothing is set in stone yet obviously.

These are not potential spoilers but in fact speculation based on what has been said the article at no points calls these spoilers even.

This has quotes and insight from editors from other massive Superman webpages like- "Superman Homepage" and "Superman Supersite"

The quote by one guy about Zod POSSIBLY wanting to make Earth into a "New Krypton" is something we haven't really heard before and on the website they said the female villain COULD POSSIBLY still be Ursa and not Faora.

This is just information I'm picking up from the internet, if you don't like it, don't [frick]ING read it.

They are called POTENTIAL spoilers because potential= possible spoilers. And they kind of are if you actually READ them.

Besides whether it is mere speculation it is still information i found from a WEBSITE. Therefore it is still newsworthy to post here.

@LP4 interesting stuff! if it's true or not... good job dude these guys complain over everything don't let them get to you... lol some have even said they didn't believe what the editors report... so don't worry about it! ;)

I went to the god damn website and I said E Online's article is not making much of a case for itself. Your article was not what I was speaking about. It's all guests the page itself. E Online should not call them potential spoilers. They themselves do not even say they have insiders or the script or someone from the production telling them anything. I am sorry I criticized your copy and pasted work.

@AlReg- I POSTED what i FOUND.

Again- Potential= POSSIBLE= MAYBE.

The idea of Zod trying to turn earth into a NEW KRYPTON was never really discussed much before or even...at all and i do think that kind of plot for the film would be pretty cool. Also their characterization of Amy Adams sounded nice- that she may be a more well-established Lois and not very kiddie.

And this is a nice list. Since Amy Adams is a rather serious actress, I can see her being no different as Lois. And a murderous Zod FTW. :D

First of all man when you post an article from another website expect people to talk about it, not you. Also expect them to either agree or disagree. And like I said they themselves never claim to have inside information they just made guesses E online themselves made the mistake not calling speculation like it was. I called it speculation because that is what it is and did I call you out? No I didn't.

I really hope this is true! It would make an interesting movie and possibly the best CBM ever!! Deadly Zod = EPIC!

I think with Kevin Costner and Dian Lane cast as Jonathan and Martha Kent, the script could be based on the Birthright graphic novel with Zod as the antagonist instead of Lex. I've only just read it and the story does have movie script potential.

@TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY: Thanks. Superman has always been my favorite since I could remember. I loved watching TAS as a kid. I hate that he doesn't get the credit he deserves. He's the reason I want to go into comics and film. My ultimate goal is to direct a Superman movie one day that the fans deserve. I have high hopes for this film though. I can not wait! SUPERMAN FTW!

I agree, the potential story line would be very promising. They will establish a more serious character this time and if Zod will be killing a lot of people, that would awesome.
