Henry Cavill, the new "Man Of Steel" for Zach Synder's upcoming Superman reboot, recently visited the Mattel toy factory and was stunned at the fact that he will be transformed into a little plastic figure. Find out below what he had to say!

"I met the guy who is making the action figures the other day, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience, but I was absolutely stunned by the whole experience, too [...] I was shaking hands with a guy who is making a toy out of me. I don’t think there’s any shame in being really excited about it. It’s mega-weird, but as long as you don’t get too wrapped up in it, it’s great. And you know, I don’t want it to end."

Clark Kent is a journalist in his twenties who was adopted as a child by Martha and Jonathan Kent when he was transported to Earth from the alien planet Krypton. Kent, raised with the values of his adoptive parents, feels alienated because of his unique super abilities and struggles to find his place in life. When the world is attacked, he becomes the hero Superman to protect its people.

Man Of Steel is scheduled to hit cinemas June 14th, 2013.

As a life long fan of Superman in his comic book and live action forms,(Saw Superman the Movie on December 31st 1978)I can't fully express how much pride I feel with how Henry Cavill is carrying the mantle of Superman. This guy is the real deal and will move the legacy of live action Superman into the future.

It's refreshing to see how he carries himself with such humility. Hopefully it's genuine, and hopefully success doesn't ruin that part of him...because I see success in his future.

Hopefully, Mattel will release a quality line of properly sized 3.75" action figures for Man of Steel, and not a line of limited articulation and cheap-looking figures like the Green Lantern movie figures.

They really need to look at what Hasbro has been doing for their Marvel Universe, Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America lines.

(Also need the Superman figure to be able to hold Thor's hammer and Cap's shield!)

Having an action figure made of me would be a major factor in my decision to become an actor :P I mean to have a mini plastic version of you on your shelf is just awesome. Sam Jackson has a bunch of his figures he said in an interview.

If the action figures are like Green Lantern's, then I'll pass. But no matter what, I'll buy a Movie Master (the 'safest' line so far, even Green Lantern's wasn't that bad) of Cavill to accompany my Green Lantern and Batman. :) Hot Toys figure of him will be amazing too, I believe...and also I believe the girls will buy it, too!

YES!!!! @Avalanche....I can't [frick]ing wait to get the movie masters line in my hands!!!!! That way I'll feel just a little closer to having a movie version JLA.

I hope that the line is much more accessible to us though than the Green Lantern Line.

@Jolt17 I think the Movie Master line across the board is fantastic...GL, TDK,GB. I have the whol GL line up to date. I would say though that all the lines are pretty lacking in villains.

He's so humble and hardworking.

Despite the intense stunt work required of his latest assignments, Cavill didn't earn any battle wounds on the "Immortals" set and has so far avoided injury while working on "Man of Steel." But he was scarred for life by a burn from a prosthetic chemical malfunction while working on the upcoming thriller "The Cold Light of Day" with Bruce Willis.

As make-up artists were applying an effect on his back that would simulate cauterizing a wound, Cavill could feel the effect's glue burning his back. Always a gentleman, he withstood the heat at first because he wasn't sure if it was part of the process. Cavill eventually relented, and the make-up artists discovered that he suffered a nasty burn under the prosthetic.

"He's got this humility," said Amy Adams, who is playing Lois Lane to Cavill's Clark Kent. "I think that's why he's so great for the role. There's this ease about him. He has this amazing effect on people. It's fun to watch."
