“All everyone’s talking about his Superman’s crotch and those missing pants. The new look was supposed to create new interest in a classic character but the way things are going Superman may be forced to get his pants back on. It’s either that or Man of Steel could be the first R rated Superman movie!”

I actually think the costume looks pretty awesome. I could do without all the ornamental design on the side of the suits, since that is distracting, and reminds me too much of Aquaman's newest costume.
I don't think the super crotch on Cavill is distracting, or lewd as the source and the video above suggests. To me it just looks like Superman is wearing an athletic cup, there isn't anything detailed about the lump.

The Watchmen walking around with his twig and berries out for most of the film. 17 million dollars was spent on Dr. Manhattan and a sizable portion of that budget was used to make sure that the big blue guy's, tiny blue guy was as realistic as possible.
