Rumor: Malin Akerman Up For Lois Lane?

Just something through the grapevine for now, but word is that the Watchmen star might be in the running, or at least auditioning for the role of Lois Lane in Zack Snyder's Superman reboot..

You knew it was gonna happen! Superman is cast so we move on to Lois. Expect many casting rumors over the next while, here is the first of em.



Word is that Malin Akerman(Silk Spectre in Watchmen) may be "connected" to the role. The origin of the rumor seems to be hard to pinpoint at the moment but I managed to get a quote from a PR agency who say..

Something a client heard on the grapevine. Could just mean she auditioned. Not surprising, she was in Watchmen.


Pretty sketchy! Still, I agree that having worked with her before Snyder would be likely to at least see Akerman for an audition. Matthew Goode was close to nabbing the Superman role after all so you never know. Do you guys think she could make a good Lois Lane?

Makes sense that Snyder would look at an actress he's worked with in the past...I like Akerman and would be ok with this. Great work ROR! :)

I hate to say it, but she's sort of boring & i'm not sure I can see her as Lois.
Saying that, I only really care about Superman so I don't care if Lois isn't even in this film

I don't read the comics so can anyone tell me, is there another love interest of Clark's? or has Lois been the only one all this time?

Not bad, though the complains have been told up there (I don't really concern nationality though)!

Maybe Snyder learns from Nolan to use actors that he has worked with before?

Zooey Deschanel is Lois Lane. If not her then Lizzy Caplan or Rachel McAdams! Malin Akerman is too eggheaded. Her head disturbed me through Watchmen. She's simply an egghead, but less than Kate Bosworth. I really hope this is a stupid rumour!

You want a Lois with personality, spunk and who's also a looker. Akerman is great-looking but lacks the sassiness. Two words: Emily Blunt. Best choice.

Pruitt Taylor Vince (Captivity, Identity, The Legend of 1900) is my choice as Rudy Jones aka Parasite. He is great actor and this role is made for him.


As for Metallo, Fassbender would be great if he doesnt get Luthor´s role.
