In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question 'Why am I here?' Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world’s beacon of hope – Superman.

Man Of Steel was directed by Zack Snyder, from a script written by David Goyer. The cast includes: Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Ayelet Zurer, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Christopher Meloni, Harry Lennix, Laurence Fishburne and Richard Schiff. In theaters now!

Cool art, and interesting designs - I dig the last one - but not for Zod, nor any Kryptonian element, in general.

Yeah, I'm with Jolt-- they look kinda nifty, but none of them scream "KNEEL!" to me.

It's a shame they didn't consider Jim Lee's uber-spiky, Sauron-like armor from the "For Tomorrow" storyline. I wouldn't have wanted to see it in the MOVIE, but it might make for some bitchin' concept art.

Zod's armor was damn impressive in the film! Loved every second of it! Cannot wait for the blu-ray, I'm sure it's going to be a fantastic quality one!

Slightly off topic but for all my gamers out there, am I the only one to get a Mass Effect vibe for some of the art direction and armor in MOS? The scenes on Krypton were very Mass Effecty (blue lens flare, tone etc. And the Kryptonian breathing helmets looked like Tech Armor. IJS if they make a mass effect movie they should hire this guy.

I think that if the 4th one was tweaked a little bit, it'd be awesome for Black Manta.

If they're in costumes that create Krypton's atmosphere, why do they have super strength? But if the helmet comes off they get the other powers?? Eff this movie, was not a Superman movie

If it wasn't for Heath Ledger, Blade would be the best movie Goyer ever scripted.

Hey guys, Batman was a detective, and Superman saves people and doesn't kill- (oh and Lois is feisty and hot).
