Source: IGN I picked up this story over at the DC Movies fan page but it originally comes from IMDB so I'm not sure how accurate it is. The rest of their cast list for the movie is spot on though so there is nothing to suggest this isn't. According to them Cooper Timberline will be playing a 9 year old Clark Kent, which of course means flashbacks to Supes' time as a young whippersnapper back in Smallville. This is a plot device which has been used in pretty much all previous
Superman movies and something many felt would be left out of this reboot altogether.
10 year-old Timberline has previously starred in two films;
The Rose and
Metanoia.. He is also currently filming
Of Men and Mavericks which stars Jonny Weston, Gerard Butler and Elisabeth Shue. This casting has not yet been verified by anyone in the Snyder or WB camp so treat it as a rumor for now.
