Erica Durance was born June 21, 1978 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.(Thank You, Canada!) After moving to Vancouver, she started her acting career working mostly in low budget horror films.


However, She is best known for her role of Lois Lane on the long running TV series "Smallville", where she set the standard for the character for a new generation of fans. In 2008 Erica was ranked at number fifteen on FHMs "100 Sexiest Women In The World". She states that Lois Lane was her favorite comic book charater long before winning the role on "Smallville".

I voted for Erica Durance. She was the...OBVIOUS choice. But Terri Hatcher was a REALLY close one for me.

Yeah I get Lois was never meant to be a "hottie" necessarily but Kidder was just never attractive at all.

Without a doubt the sexiest Lois Lane of all time, and in my not so humble opinion... the best actress to ever play the character. She had the character's entire persona down flat! I personally would have loved to see her play the character on the big screen. Best of luck to her in all future endeavors! :D

Erica Durance. Whoever voted for Kidder, who has to be the ugliest Lane in comic history, is a tool. Clearly you have no taste. Neither did whoever hired her.
