Speculation on Smallvile's Future

Speculation on Smallvile's Future

Some pretty random specs...

Well, as many of you know, Smallville officially ends today. 17 minutes from when I write this. Any way, pre finale, I have an idea of what comes next. In the previous episode we all saw Supergirl give up trying to superhero the modern world and put on a legion ring, which means that she’s going to the future. So I ask you, what could this mean? A Supergirl and the Legion of Superheroes T.V. show? Just maybe!

Now onto other ideas. Yes, we know that ‘Smallville is over, but does that mean superman’s story ends? What if the next show in the series was just “Superman.” ? a take on superman after the finale, showing a now fully adult Clark Kent?

One more lead I this that is worth considering is a JLA T.V. show. Think about it. We haven’t exactly heard from them all lately. What if it is the next step. Please comment below with your speculations.

P.S. I already know this editorial is pretty crappy, so please do get too mad! :)

A JLA movie is in the works.

Supergirl could work if they retool the show and stop using such low budget CGI, especially with the declining cost of special effects. Laura Vandervoort needs something now that her show is cancelled and I think all of the other Legion members fit into the CW's age range. I have doubts it will happen, mostly because of what happened with Wonder Woman. If anything spins out of Smallville, it will most likely be Blue and Gold or a Green Arrow show. But Green Arrow may not happen because if I were DC, I would would want to include him and Black Canary in the JLA movie. They are a big part of the original team.

There is no future for "Smallville". It's over and thank God for that. Maybe someday when Superman is revisited on the small screen the story will be told with respect to canon and without raping the character and regressing back into the Donner-verse.

@Knighstalker- Here, here buddy! I don't get why everything must continue regressing into the damn Donner-verse.

Superman needs to evolve already.

Well just like the pictures posted on the internet, Welling in costume was all digital.

After Smallville was braodcast in the 90's. Lois and Clark

They shouldn't do another small screen Superman for a while, they just can't afford it. I'd rather NOT have Superman on TV than have 55 minutes of Clark Kent drama and 5 minutes of Superman, because that's all the networks can afford.
I hope Man of Steel delivers and we get 3 movies.

@LP4 agreed there, but they started with the Donner version at the beginning of the series, so they might as well just finish up with that. I'm glad the new Superman movie will be moving away from that!!!!

I for one will honestly miss this show very much. but i hope and know that they amke a show basd on the JLA or the Legion....but most definetly Green Arrow, because look at the last few seasons from 6-10 they introduced alot of green arrow characters and places that involved green arrow....that was pretty much easter eggs giving us hints that thres going to be a green arrow show and a legion show as well!! which WILL be awesome!!!! xD

I for one, will truelly miss this show....but i kno th CW will make a spin-off of the legion of superheroes and a spin-off bout green arrow....because look at all th easter eggs they gave us for green in the past seasons of 6-10 they showed some part of green arrows comic lik his side kick, love intrest(s), his city, and his arch-nemesis......plus most of th episodes wre only bout Oliver becoming the hro h is destined to be as well.....and with the lgion thy left it off for us when thy had Kara put on the legion ring! so you see dc is telling us that we WILL have a show of green arrow and a show of the legion of superheroes, jut needs time to write! and besides this show was pretty much setting off the new coming out (hopefully)!!!
