The Crow reboot which was titled The Crow Reborn has a had a long history of development issues for years. The previous studio developing the reboot which was Relativity went bankrupt and so did the project which went into limbo. Now things are about to change for the better as Sony Pictures as picked up the project in the hopes that this long awaited reboot will finally see the light of day. Aquaman star Jason Momoa was originally attached to play the lead role with The Hallow director Corin Hardy attached to direct. There is no word yet if they are set to return to the project again. Sony has seen recent success over the years with successful films such as The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and The Emoji Movie which makes this studio the perfect choice to help revitalize this film.

The original film The Crow was based off the comic series by James O'Barr and was directed by Gods of Egypt director Alex Proyas. The film also starred Brandon Lee in his final role as The Crow after the tragic onset accident. The Crow became a hit and spawned three sequels with the last one being The Crow: Wicked Prayer which was released in 2005.

There is currently no release date yet, but it seems like The Crow reboot has solid grounds to now be made into a successful reboot with Sony at helm. What are your thoughts on this? Comment below!

@DashParr - lol I'm not sure if he's being sarcastic or not. But I do know both films did financially well, maybe he's referring to that? Both did critically bad unfortunately...

Oh crap!

I mean, it's a pointless reboot, because the original was nigh-on perfect and was a product of a time now long past.
But Corin Hardy's take on things seemed really interesting. He was going to make it even more like the comics than the original. It seemed like he wanted to make an art movie, almost. That could have been worthwhile.

Now that film will probably never be made. Even if they attach him to the project, they'll find a way to fock it up.

It is Sony. We know how they think. Not like thy are gonna be capable of appreciating the potential beauty of a project like this.

I mean, they're already calling it "The Crow Reborn". It's a remake, not a reboot, call it "The Crow", don't slap a commercially sensational gimmick on there like "Reborn". This is not that kinda material.
Ypu wouldn't do a Sense and Sensibility remake, say it's a reboot and call it "Sense and Sensibility Reborn" would you?
What's next? Hamlet Reborn? Dawn of Titanic? Oliver Twist Rises?

They've already proven that they don't understand the material and are telling us what kind of film they are making.

But then, I can live through it. I've already seen my fair share of bad remakes, recently.

When I went to Long Beach Comic Con/Expo in March, I saw Jason Momoa and he was looking at booths looking for comics on The Crow

Tom Hiddleston would be so much better for this than Jason Momoa.....
