Anyone who has always wondered what Tarantino would do with a CBM may not need to wonder anymore. It looks like he might be in talks to write and possibly direct another live action adaptation of The Shadow..
As of the moment, it’s not even a huge priority over at Fox. In fact, it’s currently out for a rewrite. However, the person that is now attached to the project is none other than Quentin Tarantino, who is also attached as co-writer. [...] Maybe Tarantino just loves the challenge. Or maybe he’s just added this to the huge pile of future possibilities and has no intention of ever directing. All I know is that, for the moment, he is being discussed (and this is a two-way discussion) and or already attached as the future director of The Shadow. This film has gone through its share of directors and writers. At first it was reported that Sam Raimi might make it his next project, then it looked like David Slade might helm, so this is obviously not set in stone by any means. It does sound like it could be right up Tarantino's street though, with its pulpy roots and radio-show background. I for one was never a massive fan of the character, but with Q.T attached I would certainly be very interested.

The Shadow is a collection of serialized dramas, originally in pulp magazines, then on 1930s radio and then in a wide variety of media, that follow the exploits of the title character, a crime-fighting vigilante with psychic powers. One of the most famous pulp heroes of the 20th century, The Shadow has been featured in comic books, comic strips, television, video games, and at least five motion pictures. When asked for comment on this report, an official representative of Tarantino has told MTV News "There is no truth to this story.
