Happy Birthday Transformers: G1. Today marks the first airing of the 8os animated series that started it all.

It was on this day that the first episode of Transformers Generation 1 aired on television. It was the classic story of good versus evil in the form of the brave Autobots against the Evil Decepticons in a never ending struggle for power. Today the characters and the story have evolved into a mythology that keeps on being retold for every generation of fans that grows up learning from the Transformers History. Characters as Optimus Prime the leader of the Autobots has become the face that represents all that is Transformers and is now a recognizable icon as Batman and Spiderman. In recent years the Transformers series has grown to become a worldwide phenomena expanding on different franchise in all Medias. From TV series to comics and video games even a live action movie series. There really can’t be a better time to be a Transformers Fan.

I still love the original series. I can not count how many times I've seen it.

It's just 28! The 1st episode was shown September 17, 1984.
