Westworld may be done for the year, but Preacher is back and better than ever.

Last night's episode saw Jesse (Dominic Cooper) and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) finally make their way to Angelville, seeking out the help of Jesse's evil Gran'ma (Betty Buckley), who held the key to resurrecting Tulip (Ruth Negga).

Flash forward to the end of the hour and yes, they do ultimately succeed in their effort to bring her back from the land of the dead, but only after gathering a number of her favorite things, including some Joni Mitchell. We're left with a pair of intriguing teases heading into next week as Tulip receives a parting message from God and Jesse honors his mysterious deal with Gran'ma.

Watch the new promo for episode two, titled "Sonsabitches;," below:

Watched the first few episodes of season 2, enjoyed it a bunch but heard the rest of the season is not so good. How was the premiere?

@AbidNaga - The second part of season 2 was okay not great. The premiere was great IMO, it really sets up many questions for the viewer to stay tuned into.

@AbidNaga - 2nd was slow but imo it was still good. Jessies meeting with Humberdo and the episode when we got to see how Herr Starr rose to power had me in tears laughing

YESSSS!!! Love how Jesse isn't phased by anything weird. His Grandma is creepy AF and I wonder just what the parameters of bringing back Tulip were and how tied she is to Grandma now.

Awesome fight scenes. Can't wait for more.

Kinda fell off this towards the end of season 2... I'll have to pick it up again. Been waiting for them to get into the family stuff.

Kinda boring premiere IMO. Didn't like the majority of season 2. They're really doing a different take with the source and I'm not feeling it too much. Was hoping Jesse's family would would turn it around but we'll see.
