Preacher is set to return for a ten-episode third season on Sunday, June 24 at 10 p.m. EST, and AMC has now debuted the very first footage from what promises to be a typically bonkers trip to Texas.

At the end of season 2, Jesse Custer and Cassidy arrived at Angellville with Tulip's body, in the hope that Jesse's Gran'Ma could work some of her necromancer-magic and resurrect her. It's not much of a spoiler to say that they're successful, but as a result, Jesse winds up indebted to his uber-evil "family."

True Blood felt more like the Preacher comic book than this show.

I like Preacher, but it's practically nothing like the comic at this stage. They may as well have taken the characters and just told their own story from scratch.

I still think it's a fun show even though it's not comic accurate, mainly in name.

I remember thinking the show outcast should have been called Preach and Preach should have outcast.

My expectations for this show have dropped. Season 2 was such a dropoff and really put things in perspective. These characters aren't likeable at all, and that's not right.

Only hope they don't butcher Jesse's family too.

Love the show(haven't read the comic), hated how Cassidy got all cucked out in season 2 though. He went from favorite to least favorite character. I hope to see a return to form in season 3.
