During an interview with Collider, producer Neal Moritz had the chance to give us a little update on where two anticipated comic book adaptaions are headed right now. When asked about the film based on the Preacher series of graphic novels written by Garth Ennis, he mentions that they are trying to get it to the silver screen. "We’re actually talking about a little different direction on it. It is a priority, but it’s one of those that is—a very hard movie to get made in Hollywood today. But we’re really working on it." As for the adaptation of The Boys (also written by Garth Ennis), he simply says: "The Boys we’re working on with Adam McKay right now. He would love to do it and we’re in the middle of working on it right now." Stay tuned to CBM for more possible news on both projects. Preacher tv series would be phenomenal, they really couldn't do the books justice in one movie

If this is the guy responsible for R.I.P.D. and The Green Hornet, keep him as far away from any future comic book related movies as possible!

Seriously, check out this guys IMDB page. It's just a string of some the worst films produced in the past decade.

Preacher should never exist in any other form. It would just be a disappointment.

Preacher should b made for Starz or HBO only! That is the only way it can be done correctly. If they try to put it on the big screen, it'll just b ruined and piss me and an entire legion of fans off!

Don't Bother...Preacher Will Never Be made properly And The Boys, Same. There Are WAY Too Many Religious People That Would Hate On It.

Please do it right. I'm more than a little skeptical. Both should be long term series on HBO or Showtime.

"We’re actually talking about a little different direction on it." Read- We're going to screw this thing up so bad it will make Wanted look like a page for page adaptation.

I don't think you can effectively condense Preacher into a movie - as most have said, a TV series is the best way to go with that and tell the whole story.

I've just finished The Boys - again ideally it would be a series, but there's a lot of stuff which could be shortened or cut out and I think it might be possible to condense that into a movie without totally ruining what it's about. I can't really see it being massive, but if they could keep the budget reasonable, I don't see why it couldn't do Kick-Ass numbers.
