Rose McGowan may be producing the Preacher mini-series for HBO with former Charmed star Holly Marie Combs and actress Leighton Meester of Gossip Girl.

Rose McGowan may be producing a Preacher HBO mini-series with her Charmed co-star Holly Marie Combs. Combs may star in the mini as well, along with Leighton Meester of Gossip Girl fame.

The story chronicles the arrival of a creature half-angel and half-demon called Genesis, which takes possession of the body of a shepherd killing all the people. He then goes on to a journey through the country in search of God who left heaven when Genesis was born. The miniseries is based on the Vertigo comic and still has no release date. The project is in the hands of HBO since 2006.

Could the miniseries be moving closer with Rose just finishing her Indie drama Dylan's Wake and exploitation film Machete? Holly is also free, with no other projects and Leighton has a few movies in pre-production along with Gossip Girl.

The gossip was reported by Revista Tv series while talking about Rose's upcoming guest stint on Nip/Tuck replacing Katee Sackhoff as Dr. Theodora Rowe. The show will return Octobor 14th.

lmao. Whats so bad about it? She will only be producing, the writers and directors will bring it all together. At least Preacher will be made. I could be wrong. Waits for the lashings... lmao. Alan Ball should get it though in my opion.

huh...i like preacher, and I really hope they don't F*** it up, because if they do then more of the other mature books out there will never get a shot, like Sandman.

Sandman is perfect for and HBO or Showtime series.

We'll it does say she'll just be producing and she has wanted to produce for a while now. BUT this is just a peace of gossip it hasent been confirmeed yet if you want confirmation i suggest you do what i did and ask rose on her offical twitter she has been know to answer back to her fans so be poilte and the more people wo ask the more chance she'll see it and reply.

Damn shes really into CBM's. She's pretty hot too.
Plus its just gossip, and even if she did do it how can we tell if it'll be bad, its not like she's directing it.

she has a nice body, but i can't stand the stupid faces she makes. planet terror is a perfect example. i can't stand rose mcgowen. but i'm excited for this show, it could be amazing! its a VERY good comic series.

but i'm still waiting patiently for walking dead, no THAT will be awesome!
