They tweet, blog, and post comments in very large numbers, and we wanted to give them an opportunity to interact with the show in a way that they don’t currently have a kind of live water cooler."

AMC is launching Talking Dead, the network’s first live after show that will discuss AMC’s series, The Walking Dead. The shows format will be Hardwick talking with fans, actors, producers, and general TV enthusiasts about that weeks episode. Hardwick is excited for the oppertunity to run the show saying, "As an ENORMOUS fan of both The Walking Dead comic and television show, I pretty much begged for this job. Dissecting the moves of Rick Grimes and the remaining survivors after every episode is something I would be doing with my friends anyway, so the fact that AMC is actually paying to do so is a bonus." Each show will run a half hour long.

What happens if all programs decide to do such bullcrap? I don't need no one to tell me what to think of the show- I'll have discussions about it with my friends or online. I can form my own opinion, thank you.

What we'll get here is people praising the show telling us how great it is right after it. Who needs that?

Yeah Chris Hardwick is awesome and I happen to know from experience is one of the nicest guys in entertainment. I want to remind everyone to watch or set your DVRs to record Chris's new show on BBC America called The Nerdist. It's on at 9 pm central. Also, obviously you should keep up with his podcast of the same title on i-tunes. I'd recommend the episodes with Neil Gaiman or Robert Kirkman.

This can only end in tears.

I like The Hardwick, and the concept is interesting. But i believe that the idea of this sounds a lot better than the execution.

If this were a reality show, and there is no script, then this would work because you could dissect the actions and choices of the characters and second guess their decisions.

But for a scripted show in the can how can you dissect the decisions made by the characters? the reason they made these decisions are to move a long the story arc that the writer/producer/director want to play out.

Interesting move, AMC is making an after show especially after cutting the budget this year (As I understand it that is). They didnt cut the budget of Mad Men, I dont know anyone that even watches that show and supposedly they increased the budget of it!

Just seems a stupid move considering.

Sorry, Buzzbee, but Mad Men is the best show on tv. They deserve every prize they get and more. Maybe you should give it a try. I would pay taxes for Mad Men.
