Still can't believe they fired Darabont, he made the show what it is. Looking forward to the premiere though, hope it can measure up to season 1.

Hard to look forward to this after they rudely fired the mastermind behind the show.

How much do you bet this show will go down the crapper without Darabout. He was the genius behind the show and those idiots fired him. How can you fire the guy who made The Shawshank Redemption?

The season will probably be decent at most.

Frank Darabont did not get fired. He left the show because he didn't feel he could keep up with the pace of producing episodes within the given timeframe. He's still staying on in a producing capacity.

OK after doing some research there seems to be no clear evidence as to what happened - as to whether he got fired or if he left.
Darabont is still staying on as an Executive Producer that much can be said. I'm sure it's only a matter of time until we find out what really happened on the show and his departure.

All I know is that the story needs to get going. They haven't even got to the damn farm yet.

I read somewhere that he left due to AMC wanting to make budget cuts. He didn't want that so he walked. That's completely understandable. AMC is garbage and they're going to destroy this show. If only The Walking Dead got picked up by HBO or Showtime.
