AMC's popular zombie show, The Walking Dead will be releasing a pair of shoes this week from Puma which feature the newly popular Whisperers as a theme.

The new pair of shoes is going to be in stores in time for the finale to The Walking Dead season 9, as they will be available in Foot Locker stores starting on Monday, March 25th, which is the beginning of the week leading up to the finale, surely a marketing move placed on purpose.

You can see that the shoes include artwork on the inside featuring Alpha, the leader of The Whisperers, which is the latest group of "villains" that our favorite apocalypse survivors are going up against following the death of Jesus halfway through the series. Artist Alexander-John had the following to say about the shoes.

"When I got the call about the project I knew the storyline of the Whisperers was going to play a very important role in how I brought this shoe to life. I love the simplicity of the concept and how the Whisperers hide in plain sight. I’ve done many product collaborations with Foot Locker over the years and this one is right up there with my all-time favorites. I hope these PUMA shoes take the show’s fans even deeper into the world of The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead is an American post-apocalyptic survival series featuring a large ensemble cast of survivors of the zombie apocalypse, trying to stay alive from the near-constant threat of attacks from the mindless zombies, colloqially known as walkers. However, with the fall of humanity these survivors also face conflict from other living survivors who have formed groups and communities with their own sets of laws and morals, often leading to hostile conflict between the human communities.

The Walking Dead airs on AMC on Sunday nights at 9.

The tie in to the Walking Dead is cool, however that is not going to make the quality of Puma any better!

you have my respect good sir for pumpping this many TWD articles in a short period , but the show really lost it's way when Carl died ..... anyone who's a fan of the comics realizes that you're following carl not RICK and how they've drawn out this series is sad per it originally being such and epic show imo

@knocturnalzen10 - Thanks! It's funny you say that because I hadn't seen anything past the season seven intro because I felt it had gone off the rails being a big fan of the comics myself.

But when I became a contrributor to this site I decided to bring material that isn't usually posted, and no one had been covering this, so I caught up on the show. I will say, Judith makes up for that stuff you say, man. She is the new Carl.

Hopefully they don't get sued by the creators... like they did when they ripped off In-N-Out for their palm trees and red/yellow/white color scheme.

So ... we're not going to mention they cost $200? For cropped promotional art insoles?
