"That’s one of the benefits of doing a 'road movie' – that it keeps evolving, it keeps changing," Andrew Lincoln explained in a recent interview with MTV News. "Our dysfunctional family invades another family’s world, a seemingly-safe haven, and it’s not going to go well..."

Of course, he's talking about Hershel's Farm, a location well known to fans of the hit comic book series from writer Robert Kirkman. It’s sort of like there was a marriage and there’s a step-family," Sarah Wayne Callies added. "It brings a whole lot of fresh blood...and brains and guts."

"We’re in really good hands – these writers know exactly what they’re doing," Jon Bernthal said of his character Shane, who was originally killed off at the end of the first volume in the comic book. So wherever they decide to go with Shane, I’m down for it."

Season two of The Walking Dead will premiere on AMC on October 13th, later this year.

Shane should have been offed in the last episode of season 1. they had it set up perfectly, and even did the scene from the comics where he died, yet they didn't kill him. lame

If anyone thinks they're going to kill of Shane they are wrong. The relationshit drama with Lori Rick and Shane is something they won't want to end too quick. Maybe seaon 3, but it should be before they get to the prison.
