Last night's penultimate Season 10 episode of The Walking Dead will have to serve as the season capper for a while, because post-production on the actual season final was forced to cease due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, when that episode eventually does air, we know it will feature the return of Lauren Cohan as Maggie.

We haven't seen Maggie since midway through Season 9 when she left with baby Hershel to help build new communities with the mysterious Georgie. Cohan had decided to part ways with the AMC series to star in ABC's Whiskey Cavalier, but when that show was cancelled it was announced that she'd be returning to The Walking Dead in a full-time capacity.

In the extended sneak peek below, Gabriel reassures a child terrified by Beta's horde that more help will come. We then see the likes of Daryl, Carol, Aaron and Virgil(?) fighting their way back Alexandria, and Maggie reading a letter informing her of the deaths of Jesus, Tara and Enid, and imploring her to return to lend a hand.

Hopefully we'll have a better idea of when we can expect to see this final episode soon, but for now let us know what you though of last night's installment and Season 10 overall in the comments.

So it's like leaving a job on "good terms"...being gone for a bit only to return because "maybe it wasn't so bad after-all." I have never watched an episode, but from your reactions in the past, I take it this is a good thing?

HAHAHA. Hilarious to see someone think they're too good for something only to be hit with the ugly truth. Comes CRAWLING back.
