AMC is wasting no time in capitalizing on the success of the series' first Season. Seems a DVD and Blu-ray can be yours as early as March of 2011!

AMC's hit series The Walking Dead will make its way to DVD and Blu-ray courtesy of Anchor Bay Entertainment. No real details/date just yet (Amazon briefly had a release date of March 8, 2011), except that it will most likely retail for about $50.

Usually a DVD release would coincide with the premiere of a new Season but i digress...$50 for 6 episodes? *does not compute*

Anybody willing to spend that much to own The Walking Dead on DVD?

Don't forget to catch the First Season marathon this Sunday on AMC!

Thats a big chunk of money for 6 episodes. I'll just keep 'em saved to my DVR for awhile.

That seems kind of a lot if you ask me.I don't even want to pay $30 for a 13 episode show anymore.I usually catch every episode of my shows on tv,internet,or Comcast On-Demand so I don't have to worry about it.As much as I want to add my favorite shows to my DVD collection,I will wait for a year or wait till a Black Friday sale to get them now.

I'll see what the Blu-Ray price will be. Most likely I'll spend the money for this show on Blu-Ray.
