THE WALKING DEAD Season 11 And FEAR THE WALKING DEAD's Current Season Hit By Delays Thanks To Coronavirus

More TV shows are feeling the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic as AMC has now confirmed that production on both The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead has been suspended. Read on for details...

Due to concerns stemming from the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, AMC has delayed production on both The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead. While shooting has already begun on the latter, the network has decided to put work on the series on hiatus until April 13th (when they're anticipating restarting production).

As for The Walking Dead, that's only in the pre-production stages, but actual shooting is now being postponed anywhere from three to four weeks.

However, the show's writers room will continue to work on the Image Comics adaptation, albeit remotely. That does at least mean scripts will be in place ready to start shooting, but depending on what happens over the coming weeks, it's entirely possible that its eventual premiere will be pushed back. Alternatively, production could just run later than normal.

That actually wouldn't be the end of the world for The Walking Dead, as no one outside of Norman Reedus really has commitments away from the show, thereby reducing the risk of scheduling issues.

The Walking Dead is currently in the midst of its tenth season on AMC and is set to conclude on April 12th.

We probably won't learn more about what's going to happen to these shows until nearer the end of the months, as delays like these will either be extended or work will resume as normal.

We'll keep you guys updated!

@bobevanz - Best part is those assholes who are buying up thousands of dollars of TP and Purell, with the sole intention to flip them for profit, are getting kicked off Amazon and eBay.

I hope their friends and family look forward to getting toilet paper as Christmas presents for the next 50 years.

@santoanderson - Those people are real scum. I hope they get kicked off of any such platform, until they have to try to sell it on street corners or something. Or just donate it.
