God I hate kids like that. Used to know one when I was a kid. Carol should've done what she described.

I love where this is going. I am far behind on the comics, but I am happy that they have found some sort of solace. I wish Tyreese would've lived to see this community, but that's what makes the show so good. I see our team becoming the potential enemy here. The layers of character development continues to shine through. Although it felt kinda filler, this episode has once again won me over...

Spoilers

Man carol gave that kid the Hershey squirts, for real. She did [frick] up though. She could have taken all the guns she wanted, and nobody would've notice. She took that chocolate, knowing damn well, that bitch gonna keep tabs on the chocolate.

Rick is an asshole too. How he just gonna push up on that married woman though.

So they just gonna queerbait with Aaron and Daryl. Not even right. They gonna tease it and tease it, leak this and that, but nothing is gonna come from it.

Anyone think they might have Negan kill Darryl instead of Glenn? Darryl's gonna be going out on the recruiting runs now which makes him more vulnerable. Also him refusing the gun is kind of symbolic of him letting his guard down and accepting a sort of domestic bliss. Usually those hero types in the moves, when they find happiness that's when something bad happens. Just a thought.

If the 'layers of character development' are anything like the prior seasons then its less character development and more filler. Tell me for example, has Carol's abusive husband actually had any affect at all recently? I mean, it happened in series 1, was refrenced constantly in series 2, yet its seen no visible fallout (As far as up until i quit watching at 'Coda')

Most the characters development has been that they are idiots or just bland to the point of unlikeability, i question how people can remain interested in the show.

I mean, mostly everyone still watching is just hoping that aspects in the comics get transferred to the show, most often being fight scenes between the group and varying members or zombies. These aspects however are not what the TV show is about. The TV show is about the drama and interaction between the characters, and that is where the show is at is weakest. Yet everyone keeps watching the show for the other aspects and seems to ignore the flaws in the main aspect.

@CplHicks

When Darryl dies, their is about 50% of the fanbase who would stop watching the TV show... as such i doubt they will kill him off until they introduce a similar bad-ass bow weilding member to take his place.

@fortycals - "So they just gonna queerbait with Aaron and Daryl. Not even right. They gonna tease it and tease it, leak this and that, but nothing is gonna come from it."

"Reedus has spoken out about his willingness to play Daryl as a gay character before, revealing that series co-creator Frank Darabont had discussed the possibility with him early on, but Reedus’ enthusiasm — “If that’s the story they gave me, I would rock that story. I’m not afraid.”"

"I remember Frank Darabont, after the first season we were at a party in L.A., He said, 'I've got an idea for Daryl. He's gay. Would you be interested in that?' I was like, 'Let me hear you out.' He said, 'Well, he's prison gay—like, you'll catch him looking at a member of the same sex, but if you mention it to him, he'll just stab you and be like what the [frick]?—he will never admit it.' I was like, 'That'll blow minds—let's do that.' And he said, 'I knew I hired you for a reason.'"

Oh I know. The rumor has been going on for a while. I just read an article about the term/practice of queerbaiting a little while ago, though. It seems like they are going to do it with Daryl and Aaron. It seems like the producers are going to take advantage of the people that want Daryl to be gay, by inferring it,and teasing it, but never actually pulling the trigger. Apparently it's done on purpose to excite the lgtb community, without disappointing others. Having their cake and eating it to. It's been done on other shows, and I never noticed until I read that article, but the veil has been lifted. First put out rumors that Daryl was almost gay. Never have him hook up with anybody really, throughout the seasons( although real close relationships with carol and Beth). Then make him take long walks in the woods, and man on man bike rides, with an out gay man. They would never have to even show a kiss and everyone would think it. Just like everyone did with Beth and Carol.
