Joe Dante, the director of 80's classics Gremlins and The Howling, has signed on to direct an episode of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. This was revealed by showrunner Marc Guggenheim on Twitter this Wednesday when he posted the cover sheet for the eight episode of the series.

Dante will direct Legends of Tomorrow Season 1 Episode 8: “Night of the Hawk” which is currently in production. This was later confirmed by Dante himself on his personal Twitter.

Dante also retweeted Guggenheim's cover sheet for Episode 8, so it is safe to say that this is the episode he will be directing.

When heroes alone are not enough... the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat - one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

DC's Legends of Tomorrow will debut January 21, 2016, on The CW!

I hope classic Dante shows up with his A-Game for this one. Show should be good, let's all try and give CW another Flash-level hit so we can guarantee a bigger, better s2!!!
