Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Merrin Dungey (AliasBig Little Lies; Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and Brianna Hildebrand (Deadpool; Tragedy Girls; Deadpool 2) have joined the cast of Lucifer's sixth and final season.

Dungey will play Sonya, who is described as "a no-nonsense uniform cop who forms an unlikely bond with Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside)" while Hildebrand will play Rory, "a rebellious, angsty, and ready-to-start-some-trouble angel" who arrives on Earth with the hopes of following in her big brother's footsteps, but quickly comes to "realize Lucifer isn’t exactly the devilish big bro she hoped he’d be."

The final season, which will consist of ten episodes, started filming earlier this fall, immediately after Season 5B wrapped production following its lengthy pandemic-induced hiatus. Netflix has yet to set a premiere date for the back-half of Season 5, but it's expected to return during the first half of next year while Season 6 will presumably air near the end of the year, or possibly in 2022.

Along with series lead Tom Ellis (Lucifer Morningstar), the principal cast also features Lauren German (Det. Chloe Decker), Kevin Alejandro (Det. Dan Espinoza), D.B. Woodside (Amenadiel), Lesley-Ann Brandt (Mazikeen), Scarlett Estevez (Trixie Espinoza), Rachael Harris (Dr. Linda Martin), and Aimee Garcia (Ella Lopez), all of whom will also be back for Season 6.

Dennis Haysbert (God) and Alexander Koch (Pete Daily) will recur throughout the back-half of Season 5, while Inbar Levi (Eve) is slated to make a guest appearance in at least one episode. Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights) will also appear in both Season 5B and Season 6 as a detective who makes a connection with Ella.

Color me crazy but I always wanted this show to cross-over with Supernatural somehow. It was obviously impossible I know but man the possibilities could have been just nuts.

@MarvellousPorg @TheDoctor1225 @regularmovieguy @DrRichards @others- I've been on a horror and thriller binge as of late, thought I'd share the movies I've been watching and how I felt about them.

- Impostor (2001)- I watched this the day after watching Tenet, and man was it a much more enjoyable film. I thought Gary Sinise and Mekhi Phifer did a pretty good job, and a really suave and cocky Vincent D'Onofrio was good too. The overall plot was certainly thrilling at times, cool concept that kept you intrigued for much of the movie to see how it would play out. 8/10

- Parallel (2020)- this movie just came out last week, and I highly recommend it! Its a pretty cool take on inter-dimensional travel, and how having this ability affects one's mentality. Basically, the movie asks, if you found a pathway to parallel worlds, what would you do and how would you feel? Don't want to give anything else away, but its a pretty contained movie. Definitely check it out. 8.6/10

- The Slumber Party Massacre (1982)- this is one of those cult horror movies that I had been meaning to watch for some time. And god what a cheesy, cringey (at times), low budget, poorly acted, stupid movie. It has its 'perks' as in it was 'titillating' at times, lol, but there really was little redeeming about this film. Not even a solid B horror movie, more like a D. ~4/10

- From Beyond (1986)- this is definitely the embodiment of a really solid B horror movie. Its a bit mediocre at times in terms of plot or character actions, but overall was pretty solid. Perhaps the thing I liked most was the practical effects, there were some really cool 'body horror' practical effects that were very reminiscent of The Thing. If anything, this movie could have been made by John Carpenter, feels very much in line with some of his 80s work. If you haven't watched this cult movie and are looking for a new (or should I say old) horror film, I'd say check it out. ~7/10

- Night of the Creeps (1986)- another cult classic, and another solid B movie, this time horror comedy rather than straight up horror. Its pretty cheesy and stupid at times, but also pretty fun and never takes itself very seriously. The main 4 cast members are also pretty enjoyable. The first and second acts have their ups and downs, but once the shit starts to hit the fan stuff gets pretty fun, and I did enjoy the third act. It has some cool team ups, as well as some great, fun dialogue, including this new favorite of mine:
"I've got good news and bad news girls. Good news is, your dates are here."
"What's the bad news?"
"They're dead." So good!! :-)
Anyways, another cult classic. If you haven't seen and are looking for a horror comedy, check it out. ~7/10

Check out the sequel. You'll both thank me and hate me.

@Reeds2Much - haha, I've seen a clip. Certainly seems like it doesn't take itself seriously at all. Not sure I can knowingly bring myself to watching such a mediocre film like that anytime soon though, ha.
