LUCIFER: Cain Reunites With Abel In The New Promo & Photos For Season 3, Episode 16: "Infernal Guinea Pig"
Yeah, you read that right. Next week, Cain's long-dead brother Abel is coming to Lucifer, but as you've probably come to expect, there's going to be a major twist with his resurrection. Come check it out!
Well, here's a twist you probably weren't expecting: Abel is coming to town,
TV Line is reporting that Jurassic World actress Lauren Lapkus, who you can see in the photos below, has been cast as Abel and "he" isn't quite as dead as Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Cain (Tom Welling) remember.
Next week's episode will see Lucifer take a quick trip to Hell to pay a visit to Cain's long-dead brother, but as it turns out, Abel has actually miraculously made his way back to Earth and is currently occupying the vessel of Bree (Lapkus), a woman who died after suffering catastrophic internal injuries in an explosion. This discovery will then force Cain and Lucifer to search all over LA to find her as quickly as possible, but based on the new photos, it looks like Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) will find her first.
Oh and in case you were wondering about where Abel ended up after becoming the world's first murder victim, co-showrunner Joe Henderson teases, “Yes, Abel’s in Hell. Which Cain wasn’t aware of,” And when Cain finds out, he "feels vindicated about his belief all along that Abel was just as bad as him. The only difference, to Cain, is that he won the fight.”

Entering its third season, the story of the original fallen angel continues. As Season Two came to a close, Lucifer took care of a little problem called Mom, aka Charlotte (Tricia Helfer). But now he’s facing an even greater challenge – finding out who kidnapped him, and why his angel wings are back. In addition, Tom Welling (Smallville) joins the cast as Marcus Pierce, an accomplished police lieutenant who is everything Lucifer (Tom Ellis) is not – strategic, reserved and well-respected. But perhaps even more annoying are all the things they have in common. Both men are charming, charismatic and handsome as hell. So when Pierce starts developing a connection with Decker (Lauren German), Lucifer's devilish traits are inflamed.
