The Vertigo series focuses on Lucifer, who's bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell and resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the beauty of Los Angeles, where he gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals.




Starring: Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, Lauren German as Chloe Dancer, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen, Kevin Alejandro as Dan and Rachael Harris as Linda.

Lucifer “Lucifer, Stay. Good Devil.” airs next Monday 9/8c on Fox.

The guy playing Lucifer really did a great job but the rest of the pilot was just avarage at best.

I know a lot of people one here are not overly religious but am I the only one who will never watch one minute of this crap because it just does not sit well with me. I really cannot imagine someone sitting down and thinking ... "you know what would be an awesome comic/show, if we made the devil a seemingly likable guy and had him appear to be doing good". Its the very premise of what the devil does. Regardless, I really am worried about the direction this world has been going... smh

@McGribble - Isn't the whole point of TV and cinema to take you out of the real world? Put your beliefs aside and enjoy some entertainment. Oh, and I'm a former Christian, currently agnostic. If your God is real, I doubt hh'd condemn you to hell over liking/watching this show, so long as you stay faithful to your beliefs.

@McGribble Well since the bible is mostly fiction I don't see the problem.

As for the pilot it was OK. I will watch it to see where it is going. It is like Tom Ellis said the show asks can some one who is irredeemable be redeemed? I hope we get to see him in Hell and how he came to the decision to leave.

I was at first not liking the idea of him helping the police but then I thought isn't that what the devil is about, punishing those who do wrong. Just have to see. Though I am not sure this will make it a full season.

Though I will say this show would have been better on HBO,Showtime or Starz.
