The second season of Epix's Pennyworth is set to premiere on December 13, and a new trailer is now online.

Set one year after the events of the season 2 finale, the continuing adventures of the man who will become The Batman's most trusted ally will see the younger Alfred (Jack Bannon) running a black-market Soho club with his pals Deon (Hainsley Lloyd Bennett) and Wallace (Ryan Fletcher) while civil war erupts around him.

Will Pennyworth remain neutral, or will his heroic instincts kick in and force him to get involved?

Season will introduce a new take on classic DC Comics character Lucius Fox (Simon Manyonda), while James Purefoy, Jessica de Gouw, Edward Hogg, Jessye Romeo, Ramon Tikaram and Harriet Slater are on board as series regulars.

Check out the trailer, a poster and episode release schedule below.

Episode 201 - December 13, 2020
Episode 202 - December 20, 2020
Two Part Mid-Season Finale - December 27, 2020
Remaining Episodes Premiering in 2021

A year after the explosive events of last season, England finds itself embroiled in a devastating civil war, with the powerful, neo-fascist Raven Union, led by Lord Harwood (Jason Flemyng) threatening to control the entire country. North London remains one of the few resistance holdouts remaining. It’s here in the West End Neutral Zone, that we find Alfred Pennyworth. After years in the British Army, his training with the SAS has taught him to be a cynical optimist – expecting the worst, but knowing that he can handle it.
Now running The Delaney, a black-market Soho club that welcomes everyone, regardless of their politics, Alfred, with his SAS mates, Deon “Bazza” Bashford (Hainsley Lloyd Bennett) and Wallace “Daveboy” MacDougal (Ryan Fletcher), is now in search of a way out – before London, and his country, burns itself to the ground. And he’s got his eye on America.

Will you guys be tuning in for season 2 of Pennyworth? Let us know in the comments.

@MovieMonster - If you ignore it's related to Batman in any way.

@MovieMonster - it’s a great show.Weird that it’s Batman related but it’s a really cool take on Alfred. But if it wasn’t about Alfred it would still be a really good show. The first season sets of 50’s & 60’s London were beautiful and cool period to explore.Him being Batman’s eventual butler slash father figure is just an added bonus.Cool takes on Thomas & Martha too.Css as my wait for season 2.Went into season one with very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised

@Armageddon26 - I liked it a lot.
Although it has nothing to do with comics or Batman.

OT: some comparisons coming out between the face models of Insomniacs Spider-Man, I guess the image below is the most evident one in proving the animation/facial capture hurdle they had with the previous model

Watched the first half of season one, but that satanist side-plot with Thomas and Martha sort of made dropped the show midway. Didn't like it to begin with and there was enough going on already plot wise.

@Odin - But I do like how Alfred is portrait as a real badass private agent. The actor is also doing awesome job. Hoping this show opens more roles for him in the future.

Wonder how Epix can afford a DC show from Warner Bros. Oughta be expensive as all hell with the licenses.

It’s a pretty great show that has nothing to do w/ Batman lore minus the names.

Nothing wrong with that.
