New Details On THE FLASH Season 3's Main Villains; Savitar Confirmed As Mystery New Speedster

During the DC TV portion of The CW's TCA panel today, The Flash executive producer Andrew Kreisberg confirmed reports that season three will feature two villains. The first will indeed be Dr. Alchemy, but he'll be joined by yet another speedster in the form of Savitar. While it wasn't made official, you have to believe that's he's the guy we saw squaring off with Wally West in those recent set photos.

Whether or not he'll be a villain just in "Flashpoint" or throughout the entire season remains to be seen, but in the comic books, he has a very long and bizarre history which you can find here.

However, arguably even more exciting than all of this is the fact that Kreisberg revealed the following about the return of fan-favourite bad guy Gorilla Grodd. "Yes, we’re going to be doing a two-part episode that takes place in Gorilla City." That's great news, but it doesn't sound as if he's going to be a season long big bad just yet despite getting the chance to take centre stage in that two-parter. Collider also mentions that the recent rumour about Batwoman showing up in Supergirl isn't actually true.

I don't watch this show, but from a conceptual standpoint, having 3 speedsters as the villains for 3 seasons is too much.

Honestly it shows a lack of faith in their ability to do ANYTHING else. What a waste.
