GREG FINLEY GUEST STARS AS DC COMICS' VILLAIN GIRDER - The Flash (Grant Gustin) faces a new meta-human named Tony (guest star Greg Finley, "Star-Crossed," "Secret Life of the American Teenager"), who can turn himself into girded steel at will. While Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) are concerned about Barry's safety, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) comes up with a plan to take Tony down. Meanwhile, Iris's (Candice Patton) blog on The Flash gets her into trouble, and Eddie (Rick Cosnett) witnesses Tony's abilities firsthand and begins to ask questions that Joe (Jesse L. Martin) doesn't want answered. Joe asks Dr. Wells to help him solve Nora Allen's murder. Millicent Shelton directed the episode written by Jaime Paglia & Chris Rafferty (#106).

Barry Allen was just 11 years old when his mother was killed in a bizarre and terrifying incident and his father was falsely convicted of the murder. With his life changed forever by the tragedy, Barry was taken in and raised by Detective Joe West, the father of Barry’s best friend, Iris. Now, Barry has become a brilliant, driven and endearingly geeky CSI investigator, whose determination to uncover the truth about his mother’s strange death leads him to follow up on every unexplained urban legend and scientific advancement that comes along. Barry’s latest obsession is a cutting edge particle accelerator, created by visionary physicist Harrison Wells and his S.T.A.R. Labs team, who claim that this invention will bring about unimaginable advancements in power and medicine. However, something goes horribly wrong during the public unveiling, and when the devastating explosion causes a freak storm, many lives are lost and Barry is struck by lightning. After nine months in a coma, Barry awakens to find his life has changed once again – the accident has given him the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only “meta-human” who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion – and not everyone is using their new powers for good. In the months since the accident, the city has seen a sharp increase in missing people, unexplained deaths and other strange phenomena. Barry now has a renewed purpose – using his gift of speed to protect the innocent, while never giving up on his quest to solve his mother’s murder and clear his father’s name. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won’t be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become…The Flash.

The FX last night were crazy awesome. And I love how they're going all in with every respect to fact that it's a COMIC BOOK show. There's no pussyfooting going on whatsoever. Like someone else mentioned, they're not pulling a Smallville and giving us a 10 season handjob. Nor are they pulling an AoS and just teasing involvement in a larger superhero world. And they're not even pulling an Arrow and keeping it "grounded". The only issue I have is how The Flash is going to make Arrow look bad by being the default "powers" show and make it look half-assed.

But I am THRILLED at how amazing Flash is turning out. The cast is really kicking ass, the FX are top notch, the dialogue is getting better every episode, and the story is really taking off well.

Once again, the "Arrow" was there to hog up the spotlight. I mean 2 dang references to the show, it doesn't need that. The Flash is an A+ player, the "Arrow" is a D+ player. And by now people have noticed how boring ArroCW is : Too much whining, no originality, love soap doepy gooey drama tween shrimp, and NO SUPERPOWERS. Thanks CW, The Flash's costume "belongs" to Jane the Virgin! One of things I did like was the Gorilla Grodd cameo at the end, but knowing CW they'll just ruin it by making "the Arrow" team up wih Flash to conquer Grodd. ArroCW always has to hog the spotlight! I can't hop on board to Tween-Flash if CW doesn't let it stand on its own legs and I hope they get rid of trying to be "hip". Hopefully people understand my frustrations.

I love the show so far. My only issue is sometimes Flash is annoyingly dumb when dealing with the bad guys. Captain Cold wouldn't have a chance is Flash just planned ahead just a little bit. Don't run up and stand in front of the guy with a big gun. Duh. Scope him out and just run up behind him and knock him out and take him into the police. Same thing with a lot of the metahumans he's battled. Flash is so fast, this really should be easy for him...

This is awesome, the hate for the Arrow is making this party weird. Just going to find the ugliest chick in this party and show her the best night of her life, you nerds have a good time.

I think it's all been confirmed that Harrison Wells is indeed a reverse flash tonight! Way too many foreshadowing comments made, and I think he made a deal with Plastique and is going to go back in time and bring her back to present time... Remember he said the device that they need to splice her sells wasn't invented YET... And he also said he's sure she would do ANYTHING to fix that...
