The Flash returned with a bang last night with some much-needed backstory on Zoom, and next week, things return to normal for Barry, which in his world is anything but good news.

Just when Barry thought he had Zoom beat, Zoom turned the tables once again. Next week, when Harrison Wells gets kidnapped by Griffin Grey, Barry has to save him sans Speed Force, which is much easier said than done. However, thankfully, it looks like he's going to get a big assist from Jesse Quick.

WELLS IS ATTACKED BY DC COMICS’ CHARACTER GRIFFIN GREY – A meta-human with super strength named Griffin Grey (guest star Haig Sutherland) mistakes Harry (Tom Cavanagh) for Earth-1 Harrison Wells and kidnaps him, demanding that Wells cure him from his current condition. Realizing another brilliant Wells could help track Griffin’s location, Barry asks Jesse (guest star Violett Beane) to help. Meanwhile, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) corners Joe (Jesse L. Martin) about The Flash. John Showalter directed the episode written by Brooke Roberts & Katherine Walczak (#219).

Last year, the S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator exploded, creating a dark matter storm that struck forensic scientist Barry Allen — bestowing him with super-speed and making him the fastest man alive. But Barry wasn’t the only person who was given extraordinary abilities that night. The dark matter also created meta-humans — many of whom have wreaked havoc on the city. With the help of the S.T.A.R Labs team, Caitlin Snow, Cisco Ramon and Dr. Harrison Wells, Barry protects the people of Central City from these powerful new threats as The Flash. Following the defeat of Allen's arch-nemesis Eobard Thawne (aka Reverse Flash), Team Flash must quickly turn their attention to the singularity swirling high above Central City, consuming everything in its path. Armed with the heart of a hero and the ability to move at super speeds, Barry charged into the eye of the singularity, but can he actually save his city from impending doom?

The Flash features:
Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/Flash
Candice Patton as Iris West
Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow
Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon
Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne
Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West

As much as I love this show, it's really dragged this season. The constant breaks didn't help either.

Cant wait to see Barry not fast! Should be awesome, like watching a depressed clown.

I've never been a fan of a superhero losing their power and having to get shit done without them. It's just lazy and cheap to me. And this season hasn't been as good as the first.

This show is awesome. All shows drag with a long season like this. Even the filler episodes are awesome as hell.

@gmoney0505 - Fillers in Flash, except for that Reverse Flash one, sucks.

Character IQ once again drops for sake of plot SPOILERS:
-Clamp Boot on Zoom, decide to taunt before throwing him in a cell
-Zoom gives up Wally, Barry still decides to juice him up anyway even though he is now confirmed faster
-Forced time remnant explanation
-Shaving is enough to fool people on Earth 2

@HappyHater - I don't normally get annoyed by this kind of thing, but my lord that was the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Do people not watch a show through before it goes to air? how do writers/actors/directors/editors/producers all go through the process of making an hour of television without noticing something so idiotic.

I kept thinking they were trapping him, I didn't even consider the idea that they weren't. In fact, I was thinking, "Christ Zoom is being dumb for not realising this is a trap"

shows what I know.

@cronnyberg

Yeah sadly and the i killed my self past but i'm still here and in season 1 Eddy dies and Eboard directly in this time but not in the past were he comes from in the futur.... They really have a lot of writing problems, they want to make it complex to impress but without solid explanations...

"I kept thinking they were trapping him, I didn't even consider the idea that they weren't"

I was thinking the same ! my god this is bullshit...

@cronnyberg - Seriously. The [frick] was that? You're just gonna give up EVERYTHING you and your team have worked so hard for without a fight because "I have to Joe. He's family". GTFO!

I am still a bit confused. So Jay Garrick is just a name that Hunter Zolomon made up? Will there be a real Jay Garrick sometime? It seems like a real loss to have the "Jay Garrick" character be just some made up name that Zoom used.
Also, what is the "darkness" that takes over Zoom and turns his eyes black? What is going on there?
Finally, who is the man in iron mask? "If I told you, you wouldn't believe me." Who could that be? I was starting to think that it was Hunter Zolomon from Earth Prime, but I feel like it has to be somebody else. Starting to think it has to be Eddie (since that is about the only person I could think of that you wouldn't believe it could be). Or maybe it's Ronnie. But I don't think so because of the screen shots from the last episode that showed he had blonde hair.

I'm still trying to figure out why they didn't just shoot zoom once they got Wally back. Zoom didn't have Wally anymore so why exactly did Barry give zoom his speed?

I put this episode with the episode that I commented on where the Professor finally gets his daughter back and she all of a sudden gets mad at him decides to leave making herself a easy target for ZOOM.
