New Extended Promo For THE FLASH Season 2 Episode 20: "Rupture"
Only four more episodes before this second season of The Flash comes to a close and next week's episode is shaping up to be a big one as Barry tries to recreate the particle accelerator explosion!
While Cisco comes to grips with the fact that his brother's Earth-2 counterpart is the supervillain known as Rupture, Barry puts a seriously dangeorus plan in motion and looks to both of his fathers for advice. However, it doesn't look lke he'll be listening to either of them as we see him trying to recreate the particle accelerator explosion that originally gave him his powers. Will he succeed? Yeah, probably, but could this second experiment lead to Wally West & Jesse Quick gaining their abilities? And what about Caitlin Snow, is this how she becomes Killer Frost? DC COMICS’ CHARACTER RUPTURE COMES TO CENTRAL CITY WITH ZOOM – Zoom (guest star Teddy Sears) arrives back on Earth-1 intent on taking over Central City. Barry (Grant Gustin) and Wells (Tom Cavanagh) come up with a plan to stop Zoom once and for all but it’s extremely dangerous. Unsure if he should take the risk, Barry reaches out to both fathers for advice. Henry (guest star John Wesley Shipps) is adamantly opposed to Barry risking his life again but Joe (Jesse L. Martin) thinks he can handle it which puts the two men at odds with each other. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) is shocked when he vibes the Earth-2 villain Rupture, who happens to be his brother Dante’s (guest star Nicholas Gonzalez) doppelganger. Rupture came to this Earth seeking justice for Reverb’s death. Iris (Candice Patton) decides she’s finally ready to open up to Barry about her feelings for him. Armen V. Kevorkian directed the episode written by Kai Yu Wu & Lauren Certo (#220).
Last year, the S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator exploded, creating a dark matter storm that struck forensic scientist Barry Allen — bestowing him with super-speed and making him the fastest man alive. But Barry wasn’t the only person who was given extraordinary abilities that night. The dark matter also created meta-humans — many of whom have wreaked havoc on the city. With the help of the S.T.A.R Labs team, Caitlin Snow, Cisco Ramon and Dr. Harrison Wells, Barry protects the people of Central City from these powerful new threats as The Flash. Following the defeat of Allen's arch-nemesis Eobard Thawne (aka Reverse Flash), Team Flash must quickly turn their attention to the singularity swirling high above Central City, consuming everything in its path. Armed with the heart of a hero and the ability to move at super speeds, Barry charged into the eye of the singularity, but can he actually save his city from impending doom?
