We've known for a few weeks now that Carlos Valdes would be leaving The Flash, but while many assumed his exit wouldn't happen until the end of the season, it looks like he'll actually be saying goodbye in the next episode of the series, which is set to air on June 8 and kickstart the fourth and presumably final graphic novel of season seven.

This season is expected to consist of eighteen episodes, so Valdes did appear in at least 2/3 of the season, and it looks like his farewell episode will be quite an emotional affair, as he suits back up as Vibe and finds himself on one last mission with both Barry (Grant Gustin) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) as they work to defeat a new Rainbow Raider (Jona Xiao).

No word on whether he could show up again down the line, but showrunner Eric Wallace has indicated that the door will always be open for both him and Tom Cavanagh to return, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens in season eight or beyond.

Check out the promo for episode twelve of The Flash, titled "Good-Bye Vibrations," below:

"Good-bye Vibrations" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, LV) (HDTV)

CISCO LEAVES CENTRAL CITY - Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Kamila (guest star Victoria Park) tell the team they are leaving Central City. However, Barry (Grant Gustin), Iris (Candice Patton) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) don't have much time to digest the news because a new version of Rainbow Raider (guest star Jona Xiao) strikes and OG Team Flash must join together one final time to save the city. Philip Chipera directed the episode written by Kelly Wheeler & Jeff Hersh (#712). Original airdate 6/8/2021

"Let's start a family."
"I love that impulse."

Imagine having your superhero name being your grandparent's sexy talk.

Hopefully he occasionally returns.

Less characters will help the show.

Cisco season 1 was the top, and it’s been all down hill since. His character after Flash Point just never clicked. This show is more about Barry and Iris and that’s not a good thing. It’s just so CW

After a lackluster season so far, I thought this episode wasnt that bad. Now I'm just curious as to how they're going to introduce Bart.

Biggest gripe in the episode for me was the Killer Frost stuff. It pretty much undermined the whole arc she went through. Why can she get out on parole for being a hero and a "good word" from the Flash now, when that was basically her defense in court during her trial?

Anyways, I'm gonna miss Cisco / Valdez when he leaves. He hasnt been that important to the show in awhile but he's been there from the beginning and was a huge part of my enjoyment the first few seasons.
