Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) is gone, and with Bloodwork (Sendhil Ramamurty) getting stronger by the minute, that's extremely bad news for Team Flash, who must reconfigure their strategy as they race against the clock to simultaneously save the Scarlet Speedster while also protecting Central City from Bloodwork's growing army of minions.

While the majority of the team head out to protect the city, Iris (Candice Patton) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) join forces to find a way to cure Barry - as well as all of Central City - before it's too late.

Matching wits with The Thinker, who by season’s end had harnessed the powers of all twelve bus metas he created, stretched Team Flash to their limits, but with the help of some new allies, Barry Allen (aka The Flash) and company were able to put a stop to the Enlightenment and save Central City once again. However, with the arrival of Barry and Iris’ speedster daughter, Nora, who arrived from the future admitting to having made a “big mistake,” things are anything but status quo. Will parenthood be the challenge that finally slows The Flash down?

It was a solid episode. I didn't think it quite rose to the level of 'good,' but it was solid. There were some good moments. I thought a bit of it seemed a bit cliche or far fetched for Barry and there were some story beats that we have previously visited in prior seasons, so it felt a bit like a retread at times.

But most of all, I thought this episode really highlighted how underprepared team Flash is for everything (especially with this episode occurring what, like 36 hours before Crisis!?! Weird choice to have this episode set so close to Crisis). Barry was knocked out for what, like an hour almost before anyone realized he was hurt. Cisco keeps life-saving Flash stuff (the return of Velocity X was neat tho) hidden on the other end of the building. Frost freezes (lol) up in tense situations. Just stuff like that which makes me scratch my head and go "haven't you been doing this for years?"

Bloodwork was alright, he's stronger than previous villains over the last several years, but he isn't a good villain imo.

This felt like a Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas (in particular, odes to Christmas Carol) episode all in one. It really kept me on the edge of my seat and wondering what would happen next. I still find it funny how some random meta at the paper knows who Flash is after only what, two episodes? She's probably going to die soon. Happy that Cecille wasn't in this one. She was a strong character in past seasons but is almost on the level of Felicity and Mona now so seeing her absent was a good thing. Bloodwork continues to be the best Flash villain since pre-reveal Zoom, too bad that next week is his final episode if the reports of a different big bad following Crisis are accurate.
