Next week, on a frightening episode of The Flash, when a new villain named Psych (Ennis Esmer) comes to Central City, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) finds himself trapped in a living nightmare and, with Cecile's (Danielle Nicolet) help, must find a way out of it before it's way too late.

While the Scarlet Speeder is forced to face his worst fears, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) gets an unexpected visitor when Kristen Kramer (Carmen Moore) from the Governor's Municipal Logistics Commission pays the CCPD a visit. Luckily, he has Iris (Candice Patton) watching his back, so the two begin to further investigate what Kramer may really be looking for in Central City.

Plus, back at S.T.A.R. Labs, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Frost (Danielle Panabaker) have a big disagreement about how they should be living their collective lives.

"Fear Me" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, LV) (HDTV)

PSYCH ATTACKS CENTRAL CITY - When a powerful new villain, Psych (guest star Ennis Esmer), channels and amplifies everyone's fears in order to wreak havoc on Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes, with Cecile's (Danielle Nicolet) help, that he must face his own worst fear in order to beat this new threat. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) is surprised when Kristen Kramer (guest star Carmen Moore) from the Governor's Municipal Logistics Commission drops into CCPD for a visit. Iris (Candice Patton) warns her father to dig deeper on why Kristen is actually there. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Frost argue about how to live their lives. David McWhirter directed the episode with story by Thomas Pound and teleplay by Lauren Barnett & Christina M. Walker (#705). Original airdate 3/30/2021.

Looks like this season will take a decent amount from Joshua Williamson's run.

Off topic but I’m watching Superman: The Movie and it’s fantastic. Like there’s a reason it’s so iconic, all the origin stuff is great and Reeve is incredibly charismatic in the part. Everything works. I really like how Reeve plays up the differences between Clark and Superman in his physical performance very well

Barry looking like Peter Parker in that picture! Could Grant Gustin have made a decent Peter Parker in an alternate universe?

Is he gonna stop every big bad this season by talking to them?

Best part about this episode was using this classic song even though it felt kind of random

@Himura - I don't want to turn this into a thing, but after Wonder Woman's bodycount I need a bit of Talk Fu to balance it out.

@Himura - I’m sure he’ll doubt himself the whole episode and probably shed a tear or two and then get pep talk. Rinse repeat with a different character on the show the next episode. Every episode and every character needs a pep talk to do anything heroic.

that quick tease of Green Arrow And The Canaries.......man I would have rather had that than Painkiller

An average episode that was pretty meh to me much of the time. Worse than last week, so the weakest episode of the season so far; since this was the original s7 premiere, not a strong start. Just found a lot of it to be fairly boring and repetitive, the best part was Barry confronting Cadabra the final time, that whole sequence was good. But then it was ruined by that horrific CGI goon showing up and killing Cadabra; like, ooof that was bad CGI. And a waste for Cadabra, to kill him off suddenly after he has a change of heart. I did like the Crisis references, the Oliver mention and the Laurel and Mia namedrop.

Classic CB trope. Cadabara killed a guy just the night before, but awwww, he decided not to set off a bomb that would destroy the city so let's be friends now. Bleeegh.

I'm enjoying Superman and Louis but I can't help feeling watching Flash on the same day is like a window into the future of that show. I hope it can continue without picking up all the baggage so many CW shows do.

@RealTurner - know exactly how you feel! Really surprised and impressed with S&L. But I keep thinking about how incredible Flash season 1 was, and how I have had to force myself through a lot of episodes over the last 2 seasons. Maybe its super hero fatigue or something.
