THE FLASH S6, E13 - "Grodd Friended Me" - Stills Feature The Return Of A Familiar Face From Earth-2

The CW has released some preview images from next week's episode of The Flash, and as well as teasing Grodd's return to the post-Crisis Arrowverse, a familiar face from Earth-2 makes his presence felt!

The Flash has delivered a lot of big twists and turns since the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths, and with the recent reveal that Iris West-Allen is trapped in the Mirrorverse, it's clear there are more to come. Now, though, it seems like Earth-2's Harrison Wells is back among the living as he can be seen in this new gallery of images talking to Barry Allen.

Of course, it's also possible that this is Earth-Prime's Harrison Wells, especially as we don't know the location of the Reverse-Flash. Still, with Grodd also back, it looks like he could be the one controlling Wells and Caitlin for his own nefarious means.

Here's the official description for the episode which is titled "Grodd Friended Me":

GRODD RETURNS — Feeling overwhelmed with all the changes since Crisis, Barry (Grant Gustin) conducts an experiment that goes awry and puts him directly in Gorilla Grodd’s (voiced by David Sobolov) path. Expecting the worst, Barry is surprised when Grodd asks for his help. Unfortunately for both The Flash and Grodd, things get worse when another villain appears — Solovar (voiced by Keith David). Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) works with Eva (guest star Efrat Dor) to escape the Mirrorverse. Stefan Pleszczynski directed the episode written by Kristen Kim & Joshua V. Gilbert (#613). Original airdate 2/25/2020.

It's not Harry. Based on the promo, Barry is experiencing Grodd's pre-season 1 memories as a test subject at Star labs. So those are earth-1 Harrison Wells (Eobard Thawne) and Caitlin Snow from the time before particle accelerator exploded.

@Odin - Very good theory. 🤔

@Odin - the real earth 1 Harrison Wells not the eobard thawne posting as earth 1 Harrison Wells

@zeon00 - But as far as we know, Eobard Thawne killed earth 1 Harrison Wells and took his place before Star labs were even founded. Right?

@Odin - @Odin - yes but history been change when many the different earth were merged during post crisis on infinite earth because Flash season 1 is actually an alternative timeline because in the original timeline earth 1 Harrison Wells & his wife was the one who started Star lab & created the particles accelerator that created the flash in 2020 and the other timeline where eobard thawne kill earth 1 Harrison Wells & his wife took Wells identity and created an alternative timeline created particle accelerators created the flash in 2014

I thought that maybe for some reason Barry and Grodd had by accident swapped minds because the summary does tease something that goes wrong regarding an experiment from Barry.

But Odin's theory seems more likely. Still curious about how Solovar is now the bad guy, unless it is another of Grodd's plans.

Yeah. That is definitely Thawne as Wells as Thawne was already posing at Wells when he started Star Labs and when he started experimenting on Grodd. Star Labs was only a dream in Wells' mind that would not be fulfilled for another decade before Thawne took his place.
