The Flash returns to The CW for its ninth and final season on February 8, and for fans of the small screen Scarlet Speedster, bidding farewell to Grant Gustin's Barry Allen won't be easy.

The final 13 episodes promise to deliver plenty of epic moments, though, including the live-action debut of DC Comics supervillain Red Death. On the page, he's an evil version of Bruce Wayne who decided that the only way to save his reality was to steal The Flash's speed (killing the Fastest Man Alive in the process).

In the Arrowverse, however, Javicia Leslie will return as Batwoman (following her show's cancellation) to don the armour and take aim at Central City's speedster.

Now, some new details about what to expect have been revealed in the official description of "Hear No Evil."

"Barry (Grant Gustin) feels guilty for what happened to Caitlin and Mark (Jon Cor) comes up with a plan which makes everyone skeptical," it reads. "Meanwhile, Red Death looms in Central City and commands that failure is not an option. Joe (Jesse L. Martin) asks Cecile (Danielle Nicolet) to make a choice which leads Cecile to think about the greater good.

"Allegra (Kayla Compton) and Chester (Brandon McKnight) take a step in a new direction. Lastly, old friends pay an unexpected visit to S.T.A.R. Labs."

The Flash showrunner Eric Wallace directed the episode which was written by Jonathan Butler & Kristen Kim. We don't know how large of a role Red Death will play in the series, though there are those who expect her to be the final season's big bad.

Set photos have confirmed this version of Ryan Wilder must be from a different Earth because Leslie has also been spotted on set, confronting Red Death, in her Batwoman costume. Hopefully, The Flash can give that Caped Crusader a fitting send-off.

This episode of The Flash airs on The CW on February 15.

I'm gonna watch the last episode out of respect. Was a fan of the show at first, but gave it up in the beginning of S5.

Imma show up to the series finale like...

Would've been cool to do an evil version of Oliver queen.
