Next week's episode of The Flash sounds like an interesting one as Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Chester (Brandon McKnight) travel back in time. Unfortunately, things take a turn for the worst when they find themselves trapped in 1998 and forced to repeat the same day over and over again.

While there's plenty of fun to be had as the pair begin to acclimate to their new environment and enjoy everything the '90s had to offer, including the wardrobe and plenty of Space Jam DVDs, it looks like the answer to their conundrum may lie in Chester's childhood home - a place he's not particularly keen on revisiting.

Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) makes an unexpected connection with the speed force.

Check out the promo for episode six, titled "The One with the Nineties," below:

"The One With The Nineties" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, LV) (HDTV)

CISCO AND CHESTER GO BACK IN TIME - Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Chester (Brandon McKnight) travel back in time and get stuck in 1998, repeating the same day over and over again. Jeff Byrd directed the episode written by Kelly Wheeler & Emily Palizzi (#706). Original airdate 4/6/2021.

Flash improved at all? I’m now two seasons behind. Used to love this show back in the day but quality really dropped in seasons 3 and 4

@MrDandy - 6 is the worst by a country mile. Which is in part due to the fact that it literally doesn't have an ending.

My favorite part of twins-but-not-really episodes is looking for the line of demarcation that's hidden in plain sight that the twins can't cross.

Season 1 and 2 used to be so good!!!! Kind of sad all I’m still watching from Arrowverse is Legends and Superman.

That being said, Superman and Lois is great so far!

Pack it up, comic book movies and tv shows. Jon Cryer just won.

This was a stronger episode than last week's. Though still being dragged down by its own issues. Creative choices here and there that are confusing, poor writing sporadically. I thought the first half of the episode was pretty meh but the back half was a lot better. Seeing Thawne and Savitar again was cool, and I enjoyed the return of Thinker's chair.

I'll keep my expectations low for next week's episode based on that trailer.

Cool to see Reverse Flash and Savitar (This time having the actual suit, unlike the 100th episode that just used old effects shots). Too bad no Zoom

@LukeCage2155 - Me too! And since I remember it well it seems like an odd choice for a 90s episode. Maybe a great year for a Sugar Ray or Jewel concert but not exactly prime 90s.

1998? Not a great year for me.

First of all, 1998 did not look like this. This was more early to mid-90s.

Second, I'm sad that the era I grew up in is starting to be used more and more in period episodes.

Third, anyone else feel like the writing for this show has gotten significantly worse? Like, it was already declining but its gone to a whole new low this season. Its like all the great writers left after Crisis for Superman & Lois.

This show is terrible. I used to like it until I realized every episode one of the heroes needs a pep talk or Barry is crying.
