Winner Takes World In Epic New Promo For Upcoming Four Night DC TV "INVASION!" Crossover

We're now just days away from the highly anticipated four night DC TV crossover on The CW, and the network has released yet another promo featuring plenty of new footage. This one gives us our best look yet at the battle against the alien Dominators which will take place in Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow, and they definitely look like a pretty formidable threat to the heroes.

The video also makes it clear that the Earth is at stake, though that was probably to be expected! Of course, the biggest draw here isn't the aliens or action (though both should be pretty amazing), but the interactions between the characters. Here, we get to see Supergirl and Heat Wave having a very interesting exchange, and well, it doesn't seem as if he's a big fan of the Girl of Steel's heroic moniker!

IT’S HEROES VS. ALIENS IN THIS EPIC CROSSOVER EVENT — When aliens called the Dominators attack Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin) speeds over to Star City to ask the Green Arrow (guest star Stephen Amell) for help in stopping them. Realizing the battle against the Dominators is bigger than they thought, they track down the Legends of Tomorrow, and Barry and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) create a breach to bring back a secret weapon – Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist). Once all of the super friends are assembled, they come up with a plan to attack but a shocking secret related to Flashpoint is revealed and suddenly no one is sure who they can trust. Meanwhile, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) wants to join the battle against the aliens but Iris (Candice Patton) tells him he’s not ready. Dermott Downs directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing.

Even though he's one of the most powerful characters and can open portals into other universes, they're going to sideline Cisco with Felicity to type fast on some keyboard. SMH.

@Kr08 - It's the same thing with Firestorm on Legends.

"Should we bring along our most powerful member?"

"No have Jax repair the ship again."

I'm real excited for this and everything, but there should have been some hints on last nights Flash that it could be happening.

Also, bring the Legends out of time ad Supergirl from another Earth but don't contact modern Vixen, Constantine, Roy, Katana, Huntress, and the Hawks? I know half of these characters suck and can't act, but an Invasion feels like an all the help you can get situation.

I hope the crossover event ends with the aliens killing or simply abducting Felicity. No ass is worth the amount of cringe she causes.

While I think the single episodes will be good, as a crossover, this is going to be pretty damn weak. What is being touted as a four night crossover, looks like it is going to be two and a half. We know that most of Supergirl isn't going to be about the crossover and that it ends with Barry and Cisco arriving on Kara's earth to recruit her. We also know that Arrow is going to be focused on his 100th episode so he'll spend much of his time with Prometheus. That leaves Legends of Tomorrow and Flash to carry the load of this crossover. That is fine, but don't tout it as a four night event when in actuality the plot mainly happens on two shows.

Another thing that irks me is that Team Arrow somehow defaults to an older version consisting of Spartan and Speedy and Felicity (who I don't hate ...she is a good character who was put in an unfitting relationship storyline.) Why not bring in the newer team? In fact, Mr. Terrific has been apart of the group for awhile now and should get some sort of representation. I'm sorry, but I am digging Ollie's new group, but that might be because I skipped seasons 3 through 4 (not out of distaste, I just missed them.)

As said, I think the single episodes should be good, but it won't be the crossover that CW is hyping it up to be.

Let's face it. This would be more exciting if he was part of this.

@SonOfAGif - without Supergirl, who would protect the Earth?
