THE SANDMAN: Netflix Unveils Official Logo For The Show Ahead Of Tomorrow's First Teaser

We're expecting a first look at some footage from The Sandman tomorrow during Netflix's Tudum online event, but for now, the streamer has shared the official title treatment for the Neil Gaiman adaptation.

The first official key art for Cowboy Bebop debuted earlier today, and Sandman fans were hoping we might also get a poster or promo image for the Neil Gaiman adaptation ahead of tomorrow's Tudum online event. No such luck, but Netflix has shared the title treatment via Instagram.

The logo is basically the same as the title on the cover of the comic book series, with a few slight alterations.

Aside from some concept art and leaked set photos of Tom Sturridge (Dream) and Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Death) in-costume, we've yet to see any official imagery from the show, so there's a lot of excitement for Saturday's panel. We may not get a full trailer, but a teaser and character posters have been confirmed.

Sturridge and Baptiste join Game of Thrones alum Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer, Logan actor Boyd Holbrook as sadistic escaped nightmare The Corinthian, Vivienne Acheampong (The Witches) as The Dreaming's loyal custodian Lucienne, Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) as black magician Roderick Burgess, and Asim Chaudhry (Black Mirror) and Sanjeeve Bhaskar (Yesterday) as Abel and Cain, respectively.

We recently learned that Desire and Despair will be played by Mason Alexander Park and Donna Preston, respectively, while Joely Richardson will play Ethel Cripps, and David Thewlis will take on the role of her son John Dee, aka the deranged Dr. Destiny. Jenna Coleman will play John Constantine's great-great-great grandmother, Lady Johanna Constantine.

The 11-episode first season of The Sandman is expected to adapt the first arc of the Vertigo comics series, "Preludes and Nocturnes," which finds Dream captured by a black magician and held prisoner for the better part of a century. When he finally escapes, he sets about recovering three very important items, encountering Lucifer, John Constantine, Doctor Destiny, Martian Manhunter and more on his travels.

Gaiman is developing the show along with David S. Goyer and Allan Heinberg. No premiere date has been set, but we should get an ETA for the series tomorrow.

@lvcl - honestly I'd probably have been more responsive to that choice if gaiman wasn't insulting fans over it. I'm just tired of this practice of race swapping characters then insulting fans who don't like the changes.
